Hi Jane,
Due to the spread out nature of Taba as a resort, I don't know whether you will find a local company to obtain quotes from easily. You could try asking at reception in the Hyatt, if they can recommend anyone before you go to your welcome meeting and book through the rep.
If you are considering Eilat and/or the Dead Sea, you will have to buy a visa at the airport on arrival.
Regards,
Roger.
Where is the best cheapest place to go for lunch, which hotel or bar, and what do you get for your money?
The waterworld shuttle bus will there be a times list and notice saying where it picks you up from? Does the driver speak english, so when you ask to be dropped at the garage is it easy to communicate or do you have to explain what you want?
Also the walk back from the garage is it straight forward, i'd hate to take a wrong turning and end up stranded in some desert lol
And last but not least, the cigarettes and wine, we are taking wine boxes, but is it better to get some from gatwick and what is your limit? And ciggarettes in taba from the garage or airport where is the small duty free shop in the airport? do they sell menthol ciggarettes over there as my mum smokes them and wants me to bring some cheap ones back for her!
Right rant of questions over, thanks for all your help, 2 and a half weeks to go!
Thanks
Becks x

area? or is there coral ( like some of the hotels in sharm )
My son & I are hoping to go to Taba on November 25th this year, staying at the HolidayInn resort on an AI basis. Does anyone know what it is like as its not on the hotel reviews yet. (maybe to new? or worse not finished!)
Try this site for tour info:
Thanks folks for the links, the hotel looks lovely, remote & peacful, just what we need!
We will try and get out there again for a week towards the end of next year, have had to give into the kids constant pestering to go to Florida for our main holiday next June.
I wonder if someone will be able to help with my query - we're travelling to the Hyatt on the 30 June (hurrah!) with Longwood & wonder if we need to pay a departure tax. If so, what is the cost please?
Any advice is much appreciated.
Thanks
Ronnie
There is no departure tax to pay when you leave Taba Airport
Hi Sinai
Just wanted to ask if anyone can explain the difference in the room types at the Hyatt Taba. Do they really make a difference. Really thinking about being able to enjoy a nightcap on the balcony (will take duty free with me, thanks for the tip).
Also, looking to book on line from Beds4All.com - anyone had any experience with them?
Many thanks in advance,
Ian

Yes we are flying with first choice from Gatwick on the 18th! We have heard that the flight to see the pyramids is not offered from Taba so it means a 5-6 hour coach trip! We would also like to do the quad bikes and the bedoin night but not sure on the prices of these. We are taking my partners 13 year old daughter. What hotel are you staying in?
Debs
We are staying in the hyatt hotel which is up the road from the three corners. Do you have any other childeren? We are staying in a hotel in gatwick the night before we fly are you?

hi,
Hotel was amazing and the trip to Cairo is on a very air conditioned coach which leaves at at 3 in the morning just remember to take a pillow with you on the coach...the hotel are happy for you to do this...we were very tired by the end of the first day on the Cairo trip and were happy to go back to the hotel as it was very hot in cairo and a fabulous but tiring day...as you are are near the Israel border there are trips to Petra in Jordan, Eilat and the dolphinarium there, Massada and the Dead Sea, the Sinai Mountain and a monestary, we didnt fancy the Bedouin Nights as it offered no camel ride and looked a bit too staged so didn't do it....and make sure you do the lazy day boat trip....the snorkelling at the Hyatt is amazing the further out to the right of the jetty you go.....and the Hyatt is the best hotel so you'll have a wonderful time if you are staying there....the three corners has a good dive shop with a waterproof fish guide which cost us about £2 and was nice as a souvenir if nothing else...the Esso garage up the road from the Three Corners sells cheaper bottles of water than the hotel....the service at the Hyatt was faultless...I regretted taking US dollars as was totally fleeced by the poor exchange rate from dollar to Egyptian pound and would recommend taking only Egyptian pounds...we paid for our trips on our credit cards...there is a cashpoint there but not sure about internet connection....we took a box of wine each in our luggage...the drinks are reasonably priced but the only affordable wine there is Egyptian and its dreadful...! The rooms are clean spacious and modern with lovely showers....I would be happy to answer any other questions and would recommend the Taba Heights to anyone!
