Hi to all you that have booked these apartments. they are lovely my parents (who are quite hard to please) said that they were really nice. Hope you all enjoy your hols I am just back and I'm so jealous

Well we have been watching all the posts about Palm Gardens with interest, this is the third time we have been to turkey(twice to icmeler). We have four boys and so entertainment was a big factor. The leaflet on the back of the door stated that killer pool, darts and water polo were available. Over the two weeks there were non.
The apartments were good(we had two), which were nice. The pool is excellent and very clean with two good slides, which were meant to be on for two hours in the morning and two in the afternoon but were only turned on when a certain number of people were in the pool. This unfortunately meant that some days the slides were only on for an hour . I did'nt however notice any safety rings but this may have been due to the pool depth not being over 1.5m.
We cannot comment on the food as we prefered to eat out at the champagne bar (our friends from previous years) which seemed to upset Ali.
Now if you smoke alot, drink alot or have daughters then you will be treated like gods, if however you have sons then unfortunately with some of the staff you may not exist.
Rambo was superb, the same with everyone, Ali the owner i likened to a camp commandant, standing at the bar area watching for anyone stepping out of line. i found him very rude and dismissive. The safe deposit box would'nt work and when i asked him to have a look at it a gesture was made to infer that i was stupid.....(key in lock and turn...it does'nt get any easier) ...it was infact broken. Baz(The manager) did try and make an effort but seemed more keen on bumming fags and chatting up the teenage daughters than actually managing.
There was never a dull moment from the chefs fighting each other to arguing and fighting with the staff in the next bar up the road.
All in all a nice place but desperately needs someone who can organise little pieces of entertainment and Ali to stay in the background and let his staff do the interaction with customers. We did however meet some great people (stuart & Karen and the Tuohy family

just return from staying at palm garden

i would like to thank all the staff which made for good holiday
the apartments are good in size
the manager of the bar baz is really good to all guest and will happily chat with every one my boys loved him they was always playing jokes on each other.
rambo who works their is one that if you could bottle you could make a fortune he was always happy always call you by your first name and often sit and chat to see how you was.

the food is very good and some of the best i have tasted in icmeler the chef would always your food the way you liked and what you liked,
example: my wifes favorite chicken nuggets with mash and gravy

ali the owner is a very nice man i got to no him quite well he has got a really nice apart complex he is really concern that you have a lovelly time
and always happy to help you

entertainment is going to get better as the apartments are new and being in first season so will be better as time goes by

any questions i will be happy give you my opinion

Having met Ali and his family at there other apartments Efem I can only endorse what kind helpful people they are nothing is too much trouble.sioux

For anyone who has booked these apartments, I noticed First Choice have now published 6 photographs of the pools and rooms. I also noticed, my same holiday I purchased when 2006 brocheres first came out is now £450 more expensive (not that I'm complaining one bit) . Could this be because the first lot of reviews are out now?

we have just rebooked again for june 2006 , same dates as this year , it has cost us £120 more than this year , i have noticed they have been messing about with the prices on the net site a bit , this year the efes apartments were a lot dearer than palm gardens (sister complexs) but a few weeks ago the efes apt were cheaper and have all gone for the dates we wanted , so may be they have realigned prices in line with the quality of the palm gardens ??
we did a lot of looking around but decided to go with the palm gardens due to the great location , so handy for the town and not far to the beach , and also the excellent pool area , we were not over keen on the staff , but that did not detract from a excellent holiday in icmelar.
its world cup year and we will just be there for the finals , so it should be a good occasion.
a long wait but will give us something to think about during the winter.

Does anyone know if they have a website at all?

i do not think they do have a website.
most things seemed to be done by pencil and book , they did have a computer but not linked to anything,
i am sure as the next season comes on they will link this up i.e. the phones in the rooms etc.
only the 2 brothers that run the complex with staff , but its a very nice complex.

jackonews its the Efem Apartments that they own as well not the Efes.

Can anyone advise me on what other hotels/apartments are close to the Palm Gardens. I myself, have booked to go here in 2006 but some friends want to come with us, unfortunately there is no availability. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Captain Silver aparts again through ICR

Quite a lot more than these and all within 5 minutes walk.
