hi cjw
Just back from a great 2 weeks hol in caleta de fuste Fuerteventura. i had accepted alternative accomadation other that the Lobos Bahia in Corralejo. However i did make a trip to the Lobos to see it for myself and i was very shocked to see the partition and hear loud noises from another build to the front of the complex. I entered the complex and the reception area was still not completed and the tilers and painters were working hard.i went up to view the pool area and it did have the usual sun bathers etc, with music going to create a holiday atmosphere.I did meet friends from back home who were staying there and they said it was o.k. after you got over the initial shock on arrival. They said it was clean and pretty basic. Anyway i ended up having a great holiday in the end with my new accomadation being the San Jorge in Caleta De Fuste.

Regards to all of you still to go on Holiday.
Jo
good to hear you had a great holiday

thanks for the info too.am still looking forward to lobos and wont let building work finished or not spoil my hols

TVs were installed in the room during our stay although you have to pay 4 euros a day but the cartoon channels kept our 3 young kids quiet so well worth it.
We went to Kiddie disco at night (everynight!) as there wasn't much else to do with 3 kids under 6. Kids loved it but be careful of the mozzies - I got 70 bites on my legs just sitting at the tables outside the disco, which ruined then end of my holiday. Aparently they don't like citrus so some people actually put lime juice on their skin.
Not an awful lot to do at night with tiny kids. There are 2 fun places facing each other which my 3 loved right beside Lobas Bahia. Although we only used the one which was opened at night time as the one that remained open during the day was covered in so much dust that it ruined 3 new outfits.
Water park was open but we didn't go because a lot of poeple told us it was geared more for older children, with very little for tiny kids.
Had a lovely holiday all the same.
It was good to hear you enjoyed your holiday at lobos bahia. We are going there on 17th August and was relieved to hear your comments. Two questions, Is there much entertainment at the hotel for children, mine are aged 9 & 11 and did the hotel allocate you a room away from the building work? Fingers crossed that everything will be ok when we get there.

We were is block D beside the pool which was great. All the apartments near the building work were not rented out when we were there so you should be ok too.
just too let you know i have asked for more photo,s from http://www.sunnyfuerteventura.com they should be on the website this weekend.i also got email from said site and they say that the remainder of the works should,nt spoil our holidays.
fingers crossed

Could you e-mail me the new photos when you get them. Seems to be good news on the building works and hopefully the reception area will be completed by the time we go. I am on the countdown now that i have my tickets.

I have a few concerns with the Lobos Bahia and would like the answers to a few questions if you do not mind, as we have to collect our tickets on saturday

I suffer with asthma and i am concerned about the dust levels as i do not want to end up having an attack (i have been hospitalised before) and it could ruin our holiday. You also mentioned the mozzies did they affect your children and if so what did you use

One last

Just hope you can reply before saturday.
Thanks Dave & Family

What date are you travelling? We are going on 17th august and can't wait. As long as the rooms are clean to sleep in, thats all we need. If it gets too noisy & dusty we intend to head for the beach instead of the pool, as my daughter who's 9 has asthma and i also am wary of dust triggering attacks. Not a nice experience. It has been 3 years since we were last in corralejo, probably won't recognise the place due to building works going on. I hope you enjoy your holiday.

We are due to fly

I would take a look and see what you think, I have also asked for pictures off the work as I will challenge my travel agent with them tomorrow with all the evidence I have before taking the tickets.
My only problem is it very difficult to get anything else for a family of five with children aged 10,7 and 5 we had to book this holiday in August last year to get double app.
Hope to speak to you soon.
Dave

Have spoke to travel agent yesterday evening, informed them of bar, mini-market etc closed due to refurbishment. I told them that when i booked this holiday, i expected to get all facilities that were in the brochure and if i got to this hotel and they were still closed then they would have to move me elsewhere. They said they would contact their programme manager and get back to me. Got phone call at 9.30am this morning from them explaining that the bar, gym and mini-market are due to re-open tomorrow (31st July), but might be running a few days late, but they will definitely be opened by the time we go and the main reception will be open by the time we get there. Asked them about the dust levels and they said that there was minimal dust and nothing to worry about.
Speak soon
