Had a great time in Amsterdam, lost the coven once (only for an hour or so, it's amazing how much ground 3 women on the hunt can cover).
Women can be very determined when they want to find something or someone :rofl
Lets hope they don't stop you from posting the adventures from the balcony cruise.
Hope you get better for your proper cruise
Mike
the daily mail had an article on how prices varied in same hotel according to how you booked and h t got a mentoon as a useful feed back site .
the D.M.is having offers on different cruises every day this week not sure how good they really are.
good luck to the next happy cruisers!!!!!!
carol
that you are on the mend, keep up the good work so that you are fit and well by 10/10. havent done anything about getting to heathrow yet will have to soon as the time is racing by. vivien
The weather is fantastic today sat here in my as all the coven have left me to go to Work, Home for the Kids, The Pub ?
So I am just attempting to catch up on all the news.
I find it intresting that Rise are out of the picture now, does that mean that the threat of legal action is off ? (I was thinking of getting a few shares just so I could get a nose back in the door, as I enjoy a good verbul fight)
Also what of the people who have cruises booked through Rise, are those cruises being honoured or will any future cruises like mine in Oct ? Just a few points to ponder.
I did not see the hamsterdam jokerofl before we went off I am still smiling at it, well done :rofl :rofl
Welcome back Phil. Good to see you up and about. Hope your health continues to improve.
Lovely to see you back Phil and much improved by the sounds of it. Keep up the exercise and the treatment, you need to be fully fit for October! I would imagine that Rise will still be handling booked cruises. From what I understand the Express are taking over the people who haven't yet got cruises..
It's good to see you back, Phil. I hope you are feeling better and continue to improve day by day. The forum hasn't been the same without you!
Welcome back Phil. I'm so glad you now seem to be on the mend as you have been much missed. Just do as your daughters tell you for a bit longer until you are strong enough to fight back. Whatever you do, you have got to be well enough to take full advantage of your cruise.
Nice of you all to send me good wishes and I do sincerley thank you all.
But Aslemma how can I do what the coven tell me to, I never have done todate, if I change they'll get very concerned and my percieved state of mind would be confirmed - (they are all ready asurred that I'm bonkers. Or as number 1 tells the horrors it's just grandad's ways), just 'cause I like penny sweets (ever tried to buy any for a penny - near impossible- what happened to black jacks 4 for 1p - those were the days, along witha 4p jubbly, 6p went a long way). Sorry Luci
To get back on topic - do they, on the cruise make tea in tea pots ?
I have to go off to the local doss house, now for my dose of daily pain inflicted by one of Himmlers children.
Lots of Love
Phil
weren't blackjacks 4 for 1d? not 1p. We're showing our age now!!
and fruit salad as well 4 for 1d. I had some refreshers and parma violets the other day so they are still making them. Pink shrimps mmmmmmm lovely.
Never did like blackjacks but fruit salad were great.
It is difficult putting smiles up after 3/4 hour of suffering the suffering of the the Third Rich training these girls go through - (yea Gods all they need is a leather outfit and they could make a fortune in an other profession. Mind you I understand Nurses uniforms are a turn on for some). Sorry Van & luci
Fruit salard 4 for 1d you are right Jennie - I had almost forgot them, but black jacks were better, like liquorice root they turned your tounge black - such fun. :rofl (well we did have simple lives then)
Glad to hear that those with confirmed Cruises are still to have them, although I only have the Visa statement that MKM took £150 from my account with no receipt detailed as to what the money was in receipt for ? SO...... One can only wait. :shrug, but if it falls through I will be on the limp to Timperley once more.
Luci as Rise are no longer in the picture can my photos of my visit to MKM aka Rise be revived ?
As no Jailers have turned up today - I'm off to get Fish & Chips and make a good strong cup of tea no more rubibosh (rubbish is a better name - its a bit like soya milk ug) byeeeeeeeeeeee for now
Phil
hope you enjoyed your fish and chips. I too hope they make tea in teapots as I like a good strong brew. what lovely weather, hope you are enjoying your balcony cruise, by the way which ports do you call at vivien
Now...frozen Jublee's I do remember ( and used to buy on my way to school) but wot about SPANGLES??? Old English preferably and I still (like others probably) go to the pick and mix for pink shrimps, yellow bananas and coconut mushrooms, but most of all I just love liquorice....real,real liquorice.Favourites are the hard sticks ( have to watch the teeth though )and second are proper Pontefract cakes- can do a bag in 5 minutes flat with no unpleasant repercussions!!. Right, got that of my chest. So Phil, do you mean that you haven't received any confirmation about your cruise from RT? What about flights etc? Think you need to start banging the drum or stamping your feet which ever appeals or is the least painful at the moment!!!
Luci as Rise are no longer in the picture can my photos of my visit to MKM aka Rise be revived ?
I think these photos were deleted so can't be revived. Personally I don't think that posting them on the site would be of any benefit so probably best left off.
luci
Just got back from Himmlers children "we must improve Mr. Morris" I think I'd improve if I never went back - yea gods does it hurt. Just booked flights to Amsterdam on Aug 23rd for 4 days to get another dose of the Acupunture - seems I have to be escourted just wonder which of the coven to take
Juro you are right frozen jubbly were brill I used to get one every night after I'd finished the paper round on credit. At the end of the week Mrs kemp used to give me about 4d from the 5/- wages just enough for a jublly on Sunday morning before I started the round - I was never much good at maths in those days.
Sorry Van & Luci
To get back on line topic
No, no confirmation only a visa statement which shows MKM took £150 - which I have no complaint about, after all at £200 it would still be a cheap cruise. I admire those who stuck out for the £10 cruise but as I have experiance of cruise ships (though not MSC) i am willing to pay a little more as it is still the bargain of the year - now 2 years.
Intrested to read that Trafford Trading Standards are involved now, (Sorry I forget who complained to them), I have an Uncle who used to be the chief trading standards officer in Sale (now Trafford) I might give him a ring later on in the week he may be albe to advise me.
Vivien the Fish & Chips were devine with chip butties and the butter dripping out from the sandwich - Oh happy days
Must go and get a drink - no ding dong the doc says got to stay off the stuff until the brain scan says it's O.K.
So Byeeeee for now
Phil
Good Afternoon once more, from the Balcony
P&O used to do afternoon tea from proper tea pots with cream cakes, sarnies with no crusts and scones with jam and cream mmmm lovely.
Forgot to mention love hearts - you can still get them but they say things like 'text me' nowadays. Talking of frozen things, you couldn't beat a strawberry mivvi in the summer...........
It's my birthday today
