Just returned from my cruise. The Med was hot but Iceland and Norway were cold so the tan has gone. Take care in Florence, Luci. I had my purse stolen. We also went to Invergorden in Scotland where I met Myles (Cunard Queen).

I saw an MSC ship in one port but it was not the Melody. I recognised it as it was black and white. Easy cruise was around as well!

Glad to hear Phil is on the mend.

It was this cruise, Luci. I think someone took the purse from my hand as I was putting it in my bag. There was a bottle of water in the bag so I did not realise as the bag felt heavy anyway.

What was the earliest any of the past cruisers got their tickets through?????

as it is only just over 3 weeks before departure i don't want to leave it to the last minute before panicking

the Euro is going up against the pound again so should get a bit more for my money when i change some

You are a champion Luci; you are not too soft - lovely yes and very tolerant, Thanks for the message about the travel Insurance; I am with Norwich Union on an annual policy and they have advised me that I must be escourted, on the jaunt ot Hamsterdam; as it is so soon after the stroke - as for Oct - they say that it depends on the independant doctors report - which I am booked into have on Sep 5th. So fingers crossed.

I never got anything from Rise re confirmation, but I WILL get on to it just as soon as I get back from Holland.

Perhaps I should pay another visit - but I do beleive things will come u0p trumps in the end not just for me but for all of us

Most of us that cruised on the Melody didn't get our tickets till a week before. Some didn't get ANY and only had had set of reference numbers to quote
Opera and Armonia cruisers seem to get there tickets about two weeks before.

Hi Everyone, i have finally received a letter confirming that the DE has taken over the £10 cruise offer But not that I am on their list as being eligible for a cruise which is what I asked for . As this is the first communication I have had from anyone since the offer of the Libya cruise on 12.03.05 and the book of useless vouchers ,which I returned, I feel quite positive and willing to do as they ask and be patient. For a little while longer anyway, at least the delay gives be time to lose that stone although knowing me it will probably be nearer two stone by the time I do get confirmation. All those of you going soon have a fabulous time.

Working at home today so am "watching" periodically! Decided just to give R**e a quick call as haven't spoken with anyone there for ages and was quite having withdrawal symptoms . Spoke with a nice young lady who confirmed that DE have indeed taken over admin of the cruises but apparently R**e are still responsible for sending out tickets etc for anyone who booked with them. She said MSC send to them about 10-7days before cruise and they forward to customer. I asked what to do if no tickets arrive (goodness can't think why we're all so pessimistic about these details ) and she said "give us a ring if you haven't had anything 3 days before departure" - but assured that there is no reason why I shouldn't receive them as described. Now waiting with anticipation ..17 days to go and counting.

40 days and counting for me.

My one problem is I've sent my passport off for renewal, that was 2 weeks ago and I haven't heard anything. I'll start panicking now that someone might have intercepted it on the way to the passport office and I've had my identity stolen.......

How long does it take to get a passport back?

Hi JennyL - I think they say that it can take up to 4 working weeks so I wouldn't panic just yet. I sent mine off earlier this year and my documents were returned within 48hours and the passport the next day! Don't know if the fact that I live near Newport where the passport office is or whether it was the time of year that I applied that made the whole things so speedy.

The passport office aim to process all applications within 3 weeks of receipt. Obviously this is the busiest time so I would expect you should hear something within the next week. You can send them an email (details on their website) to confirm its receipt and progress.

As for HT points this was supported by VAN and when he left so did the funding for HT points.

Happy anniversary luci and husband. Have a lovely cruise. It's my birthday so I booked a day off and let everyone else do the work. Still nothing from DE but I am never home long enough in the daytime to keep ringing them.

I applies for a cruise with the Express offer, had letter in March stating i would go on a Louis cruise in June, guess what! heard nothing, still waiting so how many people have actually been on a cruise for £10
Tonigh have sent email to some gal called Emma at the Express so just sitting back and waiting a response
