anyone know anything at all about kos, any advice please. costs etc.

more detail needed I think, if you just a do a brief look through this forum you will find tons of info on Kos, me and quite a few here have been loads of times so where are you going or thinking of going and when and what do you want to know??

I went to kardamena about 10 years ago, it was the best holiday i have ever had, obvously things may have changed since I was last there. We stayed in an apartment next to what used to be the Starlight Club (will be something different i would think) Nightlife was cosy, not too many places but enough, nice restaurants, shops etc. Close enough to kos Town we got a taxi a couple of times, and we had a day trip to Bodrum aswell. We really enjoyed ourselves and i would probably go back. we went last 2 weeks of September and it was still REALLY hot, maybe 1 day of rain.

i have been to kos town twice and karademna once. dont go to karademna its just dirty and not very big with nothing much to do. kos town on the other hand is great. lots of places to go and see and things to do. you can hire a car and drive over the entire island and go to kefalos where the best beaches are. the beach in kos town isnt that great and i did find it a bit pricey and thought the food wasnt up to much. but i learnt from my mistakes and went HB last time i was out there. go and have a great time. its a great place. bar street is amazing at night

Kos is the best place I`ve been (till now..on Sunday I`m going to Kefalonia), since it has everything what it needs : very nice beaches, great bars, excelent food. About places...Kos town is the best with it`s harbour view and bars, Kardamena is full of the 20`s young people (unfortunately mostly drunk), try the Platani if you like "Levant" food (Sheriff`s place...the best!!!!!).
It was quite a windy for me, but maybe you don`t mind.

im going to shop around may not go kos, but it is a possibility i may go back to paphos in cyprus again, as it was lovely. But i will see what is cheaper and what one has that the other doesnt.
