2 blokes (mid 30's) single looking for a week of relaxing and having a good choice of nightlife, don't want 18-30 style holiday but still want good choice of bars etc! - Kos Town was recommended anybody have any views? looking to go late june. Thanks
Kos Town is good with Bar Street and a few bars by the beach. I would call them bars rather than clubs as they are not very big but there are plenty of them all in one street so its a case of crawling along finding the ones you like and which are busy. The Heavier nightlife is in Kardemena but this is very british more 18-30 style so I guess Kos Town would be better.
Officer I would recommend Kardamena and My wife and I are in our fifties we had a great time there, you dont have to go in bars and clubs that cater for the 18/30's...
dont go Libra/Priceright the pitz mate....we've never complained about any of our holidays until this one....and we've had some rough ones
but the Georges Apartments and the service from the company and reps were the bottom of the toilet.
We were promised another hotel after the sink fell off the wall and the stench pipe stood 3ft out of the roof we were put on and the owner took two days to sort these and other repairs out....trying to find the rep Franco was like looking in a haystack
thats another story.
Kos town is great and Lambi and Psaldi are just a few mins from Kos Town any of these would be perfect for that type of holiday
Anyway it is becuse of that invisible rep that we found a kind Kosmar rep to help us in our time of need and have been travelling with them ever since
So grrrrr but thanks to Libra
Off in 4 1/2 weeks staying a Dimitris Heather
Hi there,me and my girlfriend stayed in Kardemena a few years ago and really enjoyed it,we stayed at the Metaxo apts and we were about 1 min from the main street but far enough away so you didn't hear the music, cheers Mark
To be honest Kefalos....its quiet but there is only one english night club...so if you want to pull this is where you will find everyone in one place....its a quiet laid back resort, and we have been there many times, an every single young guys we meet, love it...cos all the singles are in one place.....but if you really want to party then it has to be Kardamena
Thanks everyone for your replies, all helps, on the basis of opinion will probably opt for Kos Town as a base and we can always taxi it to other resorts if required. Anybody recommend bars etc in Kos Town, also is Kardamena within resonable distance to Kos Town?
Yeh but tou wouldnt travel it like everyday.. Its at the other side of the island if i remember correct

Can anyone point me in the right direction to a fairly detailed Map of Kos Town, I've tried Google-ing without success. Most results point to Kos Island maps with very little local information. The area I was particularly interested was the Lambi district.
Thanks
It was just what we required.
We are also visiting Kos in late Sept (29th) going to Kos Town.
Its the first in time for us to Kos, we usually head for Rhodes Town (off there in June) and intended to visit Kos on a day trip, but decided to try a real holiday instead.
I'm still investigating the best places to visit, and bars / restaurants etc to try.
As with most first time visits to an Island we usually rely on other peoples recommendations.
Cheers
