Sorry to harp on but can someone tell me why we are not allowed to mention the name of S. Myerson, the joint Managing Director of the Express?

His name cannot be entered in full without 'REMOVED' appearing.

Does this mean he has requested this? Is it all getting a bit too uncomfortable and he doesn't want to be contacted by HT members?

His email address is easily found and helpfully given in the link provided by Peter at top of page 174 so it wouldn't really prevent any contact and his name is in the public domain.

I'm just curious as to why I can't type - Stan Myerson - (see what happens?)

I thought it was just for Rise that we couldn't mention names. I didn't realise it also included names and email addresses of Express employees too, especially those which are readily available and accessible to the general public.

my local radio station 3 counties was very helpful in assisting me to get my cruise i think tthey also helped other cruisers.i am glad that some of you waiting in the wings are chasing D.E. keep it up !!!!!!all of us who have been lucky enough to have had our cruises are all behind you.
good to know tickets coming through for sept.
i am getting excited i am off to new york for a week[my xmas present from last xmas] sept 8 to see my 17 year old grand daughter on the cat walk. plus see a show on broadway.i havent been to new york before.

I got so fed up with the run around that rise travel where giving me - that i ended up taking the Daily express, MKM Promotions and Rise Travel to court. The ironic thing is that they never responded to the county court summons and therfore i showed that i meant business when i sent the BALIFFS round to their head offices to seize the costs that i was claiming against them. They decided to see sense and they made an out of court settlement with them. SO if you are one of the people who have been told that all of the flights have been dealt with - dont beleive them and take them to court as you have a legitimate claim against them!!

Craig- Melody 5th September cruisers have all recieved their tickets, Yipee, and a few upgrades to be had as well, well everyone except me, but thats cool as i know now that im going and thats all that matters.

To all future cruisers- dont give up, keep on hasseling them all, email, phone, threaten them with watchdog/trading standards/the baillifs and i will be 100% behind you on the protest at the express offices. Keep up the good work while im away.

Quick query - I've been allocated a cabin at the back of the ship that I believe from the deck plan is directly above the engines! Will this be really noisy and what are the chances of being moved to a different cabin once on board?

Also while I am on a roll - is it worth taking rechargeable batteries for my digital camera? I have both a european and US plug but will I be able to charge up my batteries?

Finally, I know that on the Lirica there is a cybercafe, do you think I should take CD-RW's to download photos & will I have to pay for using the computer to do this or is it only access to the internet I will have to pay for?

You will be able to use your battery charger on board. There are 110v round pin sockets and 220 flat pin sockets. I imagine you would use the latter.

Although I did use the internet on board I have no idea about using it without the internet which is of course payable! I am sure there will be someone on the forum who can tell you!

I think the cybercafe on the Armonia charged from when you put your card into the computer then billed you at the end, was it €3.5 a minute? It was enough to put me off. I think it said you couldn't download any other programmes - suspect that might include photo software. Please someone correct me if I remember this wrong.

It was easy enough to find internet cafes on shore, though you should check the rate before you sit down - most were cheap, one was outrageous!

Elaine the internet was over priced on board 3.5 eoro a min or £20 an hour i recall i didnt use it, people said you couldnt download or put pics onto disc.

Internet cafes off ship are cheap - saw ads for them putting your photos onto disc think it was 5 euros including a disc in Greece. Might be easier to wait til your back?

Cant believe i lasted a week without the internet!

Just thought to let you know I have sent emails again and added the latest DE contact to my list - sending copies to MKM Radio & Dee 103.6 - hopefully it will gat some air time - next shot will be Chester Chronicle, Evening Leader & the Standard - copying it all to Watchdog - it should get some sort of reaction from some-one - liked the idea of the County Court claim and the bailiffs at DE door - Fabulous

Have e-mailed SM at DE this morning. Don't know if it will do any good. Has anyone had any info lately other than the standard letter that DE have taken over from R*** and will be in touch 'shortly'?

Watchdog is on tonight at 7pm so here's hoping this promotion gets a mention!
