We are also going to Kassiopi on the 19th and have found some good info here
Kassiopi quiet? No
I was in Corfu last summer staying at Blue Bay, St Spyridon and hotel laid on a free bus service to Kassiopi and Acharavi and Kassiopi was definetly my favourite.
Kassiopi is quiet in the sense that there are not loud and rowdy bars trying to compete with each other everywhere.
There are many Tavernas and restaurants, a good selection of bars, some get a bit livelier at night, but not rowdy 18-30 style and a there is also a disco
We found that there was plenty to keep us happy and entertained, but still had a nice relaxing holiday.
I don't know how lively it would be in the high season, but it is really very nice at this time of year.
Kassiopi has managed to combine both the modern and traditional Greek face of tourism very well.

Thanks to all of you for your help. Unfortunaltly proved to be no help as got to kassioppi and appartments we had booked were full so they put us in what I can only describe as a dungeon. Not sure how to put photos on here but after creating to be moved they could only offer us Sidari so we had to accept to get out of our place but the few hours we did spend in kassiopi I liked the place very much.
Hi Kazalisa sorry to hear it went a bit pear shaped..with regard to posting pictures see the following thread
I'd have demanded a flight home, a full refund and compensation.
I know it's difficult when you've been looknig forward to you're holiday, but it's the only way big tour operators are going stop to pulling scams like this.
At least you can name and shame them on this board Kazzalisa.

Hmmmm. I didn't know scam was a swearword!
On the holidays uncovered forum there is mention of a beach 10 mins walk from the harbour. Is it to the left or right as you face the sea? Anybody know?
Best restaurant (I especially like fish when on holiday), best bar (no karaoke please). Any real ale, er.... no forget that one
Anybody advise on the distance from the Michealangelo apts to the harbour (1, 2, 3 kilometers etc).
Best supermarket for essentials bread, milk, beer, wine, beer, more wine, er.... beer..........
Ta.
Janis Restaurant, watching the sun set, best for us.
From memory of our visit 10 years ago, there was a supermarket at the top of the hill about 3 minutes away from the Michaelangelo, but I had heard that one had opened onsite. Probably at captive audience prices though, lol.
The walk into town will probably take about 10 - 15 minutes, no idea on distance - that depends on physical state at the time. The walk into town is downhill, so will be quicker than coming back, plus carrying a load of shopping up the hill in the heat is not my idea of fun on holiday . So it looks like the local shops will be getting my money unless they are charging stupid prices.
We'll probably be in Micky's bar next door for the football on Saturday, maybe see you there!!

michaelangelo will take a steady 10 minutes ealk to the town and 15mins to the harbour, the beach is to the left as you face the sea from the town as you get to the harbour just keep to the left and walk round the headland and there are some pebble beaches,we've been three times now to kassiopi its a fab place hope you enjoy it ,be sure to go on some of the boat trips, book them in town at cosmic though it is run by a friendly English couple and is half the price of the holiday companies best supermarket is called kiros and is in the harbour area, not so many beers but you can get john smiths and guiness at some places, local brew mythos is ok ,best bar for us was angelos,no karaoke here just music and quizes, enjoy
Thanks for your help.
Kassiopi's the major resort on the most attractive part of the island imho.
Beautiful views across the straits and inland and nice variety of things to do, without being totally wrecked by package tourism like some of the big resorts.
nice that my input has been remembered. If you book Kassiopi for your hols I'm sure you won't be disapointed. The only downside is that there isn't a beautiful beach as in some other Greek resorts. However, there are a couple of small rocky coves. I found that the lovely harbour compensated for the lack of beaches. We took a boat to nearby Corfu town which I highly recommend.
I also highly recommend the Dimas apartments which are right on the harbour. They won't be suitable if you've got any sort of walking difficulties as they are set on a steep incline, hence the beautiful view from the balconies and pool area. Eventhough the hill is very steep it is only a short walk.
You can take a look at some of my holiday snaps which I'm about to put in the photo gallery.
Other apartments that are worth a look at are the Solaris 1 and 2 which seem to have quite a few facilities and are central for the restaurants/bars and shops. Hope I've been of some help.
