Hi Tim!

The song was played every night at our hotel and all the barmen did a dance to it....chorus went something like 'yarim, yarim, yarim, yarim' and while that played they did a dance like putting one arm in the air, and making 'swatting at a fly' movements, then with the other arm is the best way to describe it.....

does that make any sense?! :?

No sorry can't help with that one! :?

Hello, I'm looking for a song they played in Olu Deniz over the summer. It was a Turkish dance and the lyrics sort of went like this;
(chorus) shush shakar, shush shakar, shush shakar um-semen-emar.
repeated again n agen. all the turks danced to it and it seemed a big hit. the lyrics in one of the verses sounded like a sentence of english; my name is anya, nah nah nah nah nah. And so on... it seems a bit mixed up but it was such a great song. They also danced to the chorus by alternating legs and bending knees. If anyones heard this song I would really like to download it. I'm not mad, honest.

PinkLadyWales, The song you are talking about has been very popular in Turkey for years and the dance is the same all over. I know what you mean with the fly squatting movements!!

I don't know what it's called though unfortunately, but it's not a new one so will probably be harder to find. I will have an ask about though and see if I can get a name.

Hi!

Whilst in Icmeler this year many of the local guys seemed very impressed with a Turkish singer called
" Suzanne Oxu? Oktu?

Staff in the hotel played some of her stuff and I must admit I liked it to. trouble is i'm not sure of the name or spelling! (no change there then!LOL!) Anyone know the correct spelling? much and many thanks!
