Happy birthday Craig. It's my son's birthday today too. Pity he's not on a cruise I could have gone with him.
Have returned from 2-4-1 cruise, but there was a non HT £10.00 cruiser with a sore throat at our table, he was spitting food and viruses all over us, that was , the food that did'nt end up on his shirt. Anyway I got the sore throat as did Magsy and Elaine. On the way down at Heathrow something dreadful happened to my right ear, all the way down the 303 I could not hear, its still making noises and I feel as though I am still on the Melody, but without the 24 hr room service!!
All the mysteries of the predatory teenagers, mr Blobby lunchboxes, and everything else, was solved with four pleasant, helpful companions from this website, at our table, and at every turn of a Mediterranian street to tell us where the ship was, the photo shop and any other problem you could mention!
Beware of the map of Malta, we got hopelessly lost, as what appears to be the Melody's birth is the other side of the town.
Stuart
Hope you're feeling better by now. Seems like you had an excellent cruise despite the problems.
How do you all recognise the other DE/HT cruisers amongst thousands of others on the ship? It's a mystery to me.
Cruiser
Allisue what upgrade did you get (into business/first class - for £45)
Don't get too excited - they call it an upgrade but it's not. It's a way of getting more money for an ordinary seat that now costs more. Rise booked early so they were cheaper then. They don't let you pay for the 'upgrade' now - you have to pay a 'penalty' as they call it at the airport. However, the quoted amount suddenly jumped by another £35 and I made a big scene (think tv programme Airport influenced me!) but was not allowed on plane unless I paid it.
I have fought for refund since I got back and eventually received it after loads of phone calls and emails (it took nearly 3 months!).
Alli
You do need some sort of sign which you can agree in a private Email,
We had pink hair and pink luggage as a meeting point and there was no problem at all! Still feeling a bit dizzy.
Stuart the Meddy
Hi Stulaine I hope your sore throat and tinitus are better and they did not spoil your cruise. none of us nice HT folks would cough and splutter at table. Was that our Magsy with you on the Melody we wondered where she was and there have been some very nasty rumours relating to her possible whereabouts. Carol R
Yes, and I can assure you her behavoir was immaculate, she does Molly Weir impressions, but denies it. Was Molly Weir in "Rentaghost"?
As for Italy, I had never been there before, but was convinced it was in black and white with scratches all over it, full of bycycle thieves and mad people up trees.

Just a quickie . Daughter still in hosp but keeping everything crossed that she'll be home tomorrow. Thanks all for your good wishes. On the subject of meeting other De cruisers well, it just seemed to happen. Not sure about other ships but on the Opera the "Brits" are in the minority so you tended to chat as soon as you heard someone speak English. Also, they are very good at placing you on tables with other singles (as most of us DE people are) and the conversation gets around to how you ended up on the cruise. On my first table there were 4 DE cruisers out of five people. Can I just qualify that statement by saying that the reason it was my "first" table was because I changed to the later sitting and not because my table manners were sooooo appalling that they had to keep moving me around!!!
Hi, Stulaine what a relief that Magsy was in your immaculate if sore throated company and not as rumoured I know Phil for one will be mightily relieved on his balcony cruise he was missing her knowledge. I don't think Molly Weir was in rentaghost are you insinuating that Magsy was behaving as if she was Carol R
Are you sure she was'nt Mcwitch?
I give up, just pass the tanker Juro,
who's Molly Weir is she the new modirator or what Am I missing something or am I just too young and innocent
Phil
Yet again from the Balcony

Too young Phil
The red is taking over - good stuff in a bottle from Odbins (Italian) well got to get rid of the bottle before number 3 comes a calling. Just reread and realised I had already asked the question re Molly W

Molly weir was Dr Finlay's housekeeper , on Life with the Lyons, and I am sure was Mcwitch on Rentaghost. A diminutive scottish actress. Do any of you get my film references or am I wasting my time with them? I'm sure I saw Michel Caine in a Mini come out of one of the tunnels on the way to Gerona
