....have just bought a VW camper van - a "reimo lucky" ; its got the 1.9 diesel engine - not turbo - has anyone got an idea of the mpg that I could expect to get from it ? I'm not a very fast driver.
Its done a few miles - 104k, but goes very nicely despite that.
Not got any idea at all but it will be in the handbook although if it's anything more than 5 years old (at 100k my guess is ten ) you can take a couple of mile to the gallon off unless it's been well looked after

If you are driving it on the continent remember diesel is much cheaper than over here so even if it is a little thirsty it will still be a lot cheaper to run than a petrol type. And in Spain the diesel is cheaper still!
