Hi jo and beth,
As far as i know, it means not tough enough to brave the cold.
At least thats the best way i can describe what it means, (think it may be a northern thing! )
Im sure someone will correct me if im wrong.
theberrybrooks
where im from nesh means a person who does not tolerate the cold very well at all!!
Lol yeah thats exactly what it means , was just said tongue in cheek. It wasnt so much the water , its when you get out of it , the wind cooled you at a rapid rate , and made a lot of people shiver. And yes , we are northern !
Just been reading some of the reviews for these two hotels, can someone who just returned tell me, do they now have an adventure playground for children and if so why is it payable??
Only asking because somebody stated in their review that it had one.

I got back on the 10th October and I did not see a playpark, I was most annoyed that it stated it had one then I was told befor ewe went that they had no intention of putting one there. If someone has found it since I left then I would like to know where!!!
Hi all. We got back on the 7th. It is going to built nearer to the tropical side. I was annoyed aswell that there wasn't one because it stated it the brochure. There wasn't one (so we were told) because they didn't have enough time to build one??? In the brochure it stated there should of been a sand park are aswell but there wasn't one either.
I saw about a sand park in the brochure too, but I was told by a lady at eclipse that they had enough for the children already and they had desided not to do it, I was not too happy.
we got back 24th oct, and definately no playground/sand park...
though the place could do with one i think, but i suppose when you have say 1000 kids trying to get on say 4 swings etc.....it isnt that easy.
does definately need something though other than the pools and kids clubs...
mr b.
I agree - we came back last week and there was no little play park for little ones. Although Spurs1971 did say that before we went and we did look everywhere too incase this had changed as she couldnt stay in the pool all day so we had lots of walks around the place to see if there was anything else we could do. We thought about putting her in the tweety creche for an hour or so but that didnt go to well, not that I wasnt impressed with the clubs for older kids, they all seemed to be having such a good time in whatever activities they were doing.
because the palace and tropical are fairly isolated i felt that a play park and maybe even crazy golf or putting etc would have been a nice change from sitting at the pool most of the time. we did enjoy our holiday and knew before we went that it was isolated but a few extra activities wouldn't go wrong.
got back yesterday it was an interesting holiday, five of our party of 10 ended up with a realy bad bug, one ended up on a drip, and did anybodys kids end up with nits from the kids club on the palace side???? it cost £40.00 to get treatment, a notice went up about it, also did anybody get impitigo, and what is this strange rash that 6 of our party have ended up with?????
6 of our party have it. it was reported to the rep, who said that no other cases had been reported, also we had 5 people with sickness this was also reported but the rep said this was an isolated incident of about 200 people, from both hotels, which was nothing to be concerend about,we traveled from 17th oct to 31st sickness hit the first week and rash second
Oh my word, sounds like you had a fun time with the Doctor!!!
Hi All, When we whre their in August the reps said they are building a adventure park this winter, it will be the samr park as the Pegasos World, i think hotel could be fantastic if FC put more money into 1, the food budget, 2 The entertainment, Add more spirits to the AI 3, Introduce some rules and regulations for people to follow, dress code in restarants, behavour, taking food to your room, some of the rules are already their, but no one follows them and they reps or Mangement of the hotel does not say anything either, i have never been to a AI hotel that is run so badly, perhaps FC will iron out all the issues that where raised this year ready for next year, all i can say is a bet the hotel staff and FC reps are so glad that the last people came home yesturday.
On the whole she had a great time.. but they were eaten alive by mozzies.. she is covered in really nasty, sore looking bites and they used tons of repllent and also the hotel and grounds were being sprayed.
She said the days were nice and hot but the pools were freezing.
Also she said the food wasn't too hot... literally..lol. Fresh omelet for breakfast was nice but other meals the food was pretty dire. Cold most of the time. Salads were nice but hot food not so great. She enjoyed the Italian at the Palace and it was nice and hot!
The subject of dress code in the restaurants obviously still needs to be addressed as she said people were coming in wearing beachwear etc.
Spent most of the evenings at the inside bar (driven inside by the mossies) and had no problem getting free drinks after midnight once they had given the barman a nice tip
hi again everyone , we got back this morning from the p/t there were 13 of us all together, 4 adults and 9 children ages from 10 months to 16 years, we all had a fantastic time and would definately return even though myself and two of my daughters came down with that bug that was mentioned earlier, it was definately nothing to do with the food as my 10 month old was the first to come down with it and she never ate any of the food as we took jars for her. we thought the food was really nice and if people replaced the covers it was hot the pools are fantasic but are freezing! oh and about that rash my kids seem to get a rash when they went in the sea
Hi, Firefliesuk, When we was their the mozzies where not a real problem i only had 3 bites my husbad had 12 bites and my children did not get bitten at all, as for the barmen filling the tang up with tap water the reps must have done something as they now putting bottled water in the tang and they keep the bottled water next to the tang, i would love to go to another HV in Greece, but im in two minds what to do as i dont want 2-3 star food again, so i thnk i will wait for next years reviews to come in and book for 2007, and have a year off next year, lets hope FC sort out all the teething problems PP had this year, it looks as therough all their HV have problems with building work, food and unhelpfull staff.
we found the mozzies are still a problem, i took over £70 worth of creams sprays repelants and even bought more whilst there and still got alot of bites although thankfully the children didn't get as many and the baby didn't get any, dont really know how they are going to solve this problem i suggest anyone who takes a baby to take a mozzie net for the pushchair.
we liked the food , liked pool but it was cold ,liked the entertainment they did there best , we liked the hotel staff and got on fine with them , and they got on fine with us and the kids , did not like the mossies ,
and there was 7 off us 5,kids and 3 adults will put hotel review in later.
Also got back from PP on Monday and I echo what Chick said, food was fine, plenty of choice etc, always warm unless somebody had left the lid up, pools were exellent, cold but exellent, water slides at the Tropical are a must !!
My family wasnt really bothered by the mossies, only time we were bitten was when we were playing Uno (you might have heard us ) around the kids pool just before dusk.
Entertainment during day was good, water polo, vollyball, french bowls, varous pool games & quizes, at night was ok too but the ampitheatre arrangemnt does spoil things, especially if you are with a large group, mini disco followed by a show, they had a hypnotist one night, comedian, various singers, a Freddie Mercury tribute act who was amazing. If you didnt like that there was quiz nights, race nights, Karaoke at the Tropical Beach Bar and also a duo singing in the pool bar at the PP.
Turkish entertainment team very friendly, especially Mr Muscle & Eran. FC team not overly friendly, most would walk straight past you without saying hello. Waiters & bar staff are very friendly when not being treated like something on the bottom of your shoe by some ruder Brits !! courtesy costs nothing at the end of the day.
Kids club was ok, not as good as I expected, plenty of sessions but lacked quality, eg. Clown Academy - advertised to learn circus skills etc, when my little girl came out she said all they did was colour in a picture of a clown and play a game !!
Bouncing Bunnies - Advertised as face painting and trampolining - My little girl came out with her face painted but no trampolene in sight.
Mini Olympics - one game of 'Tag' and back in for yet more colouring in !!! Hardly an olympic event !!
My girls stopped wanting to go after a while.
Having said that, that was my only gripe, on the whole we had a really good time and the hotel grounds and facilities are truly exceptional and so clean.
A bit more choice of AI drink wouldnt go a miss either.
We Loved our time there and made some really good friends but would'nt go back as the world is just too big.
