I am going to Glasgow for 2 nights in May.
WQe are looking for a guest house, and want one single room, one twin room and one double room.
Anyone know what the Charing Cross and the McLays guest houses are like.
Both on Renfrew Street, Glasgow.
I need my single room to have a bathroom, but most hotels seem to be shared bath room for the singles.
Thanks
Kazza
I haven't been to either hotel but have found some information if that's any help.
CHARING CROSS GUEST HOUSE.
McLAYS GUEST HOUSE.

You might get more replies if you posted in the UK thread but have you thought about renting an apartment instead of a guest house or hotel? The VisitScotland website at
http://www.visitscotland.com
lists quite a few 3 bedroom or larger ones in central Glasgow and is a great way of doing a city break as a group of friends. The prices quoted on the site are for weekly lettings but in my experience most people are prepared to accept lets for short break bookings too. It gives you more space and generally better facilities for the price. Most won't have en-suite facilities for all the bedrooms but many 3 bed flats have 2 bathrooms and at least you'll only be sharing a bath/shower room with a couple of friends rather than strangers. And you won't run the risk of encountering a stranger in the corridor on your way to the loo in your PJs in the middle of the night :-)

Don't worry, Kazzzza, just enjoy your trip :-)
Thank you
