Hi
We (my wife and I) and some friends have reserved a place each on a development in Colva that is being marketed by Keith Morling in the UK - I think the developer is a firm called Tecnica.
Does anyone have any views/experience of dealing with them?
Also, can anyone recommend a good lawyer that we could use? All of us are of Indian origin so it should be a relatively smooth process - we hope!
I'm going out there in mid-Feb to meet the developers and generally look around a bit more - anyone have any questions etc. that I should be looking to get answered?
This site has been very useful so far - I hope that as our purchase continues we'll be able to contribute our experience.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Carol, you have been very helpful already. Are you saying the annual rental agreement amount (which you will know how much it is, as on same development as me or were - if not I will pm you) he may pay me, what in rup or £ and if in rupees can i change for £ and bring - or if rup can i bring home an change in UK TO £? Sorry to be so ignorant! Stuart
Can anyone help ASAP!!
We have to transfer a substantial amount of money to our ICICI bank account in Goa in next couple of days. I cannot seem to find the best way to do this. The rates at the mo are very low and we are worried that its going to cost a lot more than we thought. Has anyone out there done this before and if so how!!
many thanks
just looked at exchange rates they have been about the same for at least a couple of months guess you was working it on 80 rps to th £1.hopefully for us we will have time as we dont need to transfer till sept
good luck
hi, thanks for that, we are just off to our local bank to see what they can do. The problem we've found so far is that the rupee rate varies so much between banks that is could be a difference of a couple of thousand pounds. Our dilemma is should we let our local bank convert into rupees and send them(which they have said they can do) or do we send sterling direct to india and just hope the rate is reasonable when it arrives.
Sorry for being so confusing but each time to speak to goa bank you get a different tale!
forget my previous cry for help!! Money has been sent, no going back now Rate was pretty poor but it had to go this week...we'd already got one extension. Even the staff at the bank were sweating whilst the transaction took place. It was quite funny really. Lets just hope it actually arrives in Goa!!
