Well eventually after trying for the last 4hours i did get through to customer services to find out that the products helpline has put the KABC on stop sale for about a week whilst they update there systems they are changing all 10/11 night stays to 7/14 as they are selling better and she told me that they are still planning on being open for the 24th May.
Hope this helps
Michelle
That all sounds a bit fishy to me
thanks michelle dosn't sound too good though.
you couldnt book 10/11 nights to KABC online before they stopped the sales, we tried to do that when we booked last year, it only allows 7 and 14 nights.
Hi just wondering who else is going for 10 days like us? I tried to price next years and they dont do 10 nights online, saying that when I tried to price this years up at the same time it wouldnt do 10 nights either, we booked direct with FC over the phone so maybe thats the only way to do 10 nights. It is still very strange about the sea view business isnt it? I too have just looked for 2007 and you cant get a sea view room anymore very strange lol
This is my post from a few pages back a couple of days ago showing that you cant do 10 nights online
I'm one of the 9 who are meant to be going on the 24th May (6 of us).
I've been fairly relaxed about this whole situation thinking the Olympic stadium was behind but they pulled it off with great success but having just looked at the pics and... is it just me or does it look like there's no chance that, 1. the beach will be sorted, 2. The entrances and roadways look like they'll be finished, 3. They're going to build a waterpark and get it safety checked in 4 weeks. 4. Train all staff whilsts they're still building.
It's only just hit me now....Miracles can happen I know, but mannering.. don't panick... don't panick....

Just been to travel agents and she initially agreed with me that it looked like the whole thing was about to be cancelled after trying herself to book anything for this year. Then after being tranferred to what must have been complaints dept and being put on hold again, she said "yep looks like that what's going on" I waited whilst the phone rang for about fifteen minutes and said i would call back after i'd finished my shopping. On returning to the shop she was in conversation with i asume the same dept saying "yes, i think this lady is just very confused " and something llike " so if that happens we'll put it through the shop as a 101?" she then put the phone down and said the reason you can no longer book is because it's now fully booked (yea right) and the reason it's now not opening until may 21st she said, is because of the photos and to make sure everthing is ready. It was like i was talking to a completely different person
wonder what a 101 means - I used to talk to a lady on a baby website that worked up until recently for FC, im going to see if I can get hold of her still and find out what 101 means.
It may not have been 101 but it was something like it. God i'm fuming. She sounded quite confident about it all now no longer opening. I wish now i'd just sat there and let that phone ring instead of going shopping and maybe i could of got more of the conversation. It was like she'd been brain-washed when she'd stopped speaking to whoever was on the phone. I mean we're all fully aware that the opening time was changed long before the photos! Get ready for the letters, cus i know they're coming.
we are now looking at other holidays just in case so we are prepared, but we really want to go to Kos!!
Keeping everything crossed for everyone!!
First Choice also gave me the run around this morning after spending 45mins on hold!!. I was told that they IT were changing some of the details over, but rest assure the hotel is still planned to open on 24th May. Has anyone tried to book the hotel today online..........its vanished into thin air.
ckoo Nice of you to join us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Didnt want you to be lonely!
It's still on there and still unable to book anything till may 2007
She also said that if you book through FC you have no one to argue your corner with it times like this, and has advised me to book with her or someone like her in future as she is independant and would fight for us.
If anyone would like her advice or to look at her website its:

Hi all - am off to this Hotel on 23rd May - have pestered First Choice for confirmation that all will be as advertised, but seem to be fobbed off with nobody giving a definitive answer ! Anyway, am travelling with two kids (6 and 4) so will post details on our holiday there after 4th June. If the resort lives up to the brochure it will be wonderful. Lets hope.....
I just wonder how much longer they are going to keep us hanging on with all the bull s**t. I for one would like to know one way or the other. Have been on hold with FC for over 20 mins, phone just keeps ringing and ringing!!!

LATEST NEWS (updated 20th April 2006)
Rumours circulate that NONE of the Aqua Beach Clubs in Greece will open on time
The latest info suggests that Kefalonia Aqua Beach Club will now not open until 13th June 2006, whilst the First Choice website has ceased taking bookings for the Kos Aqua Beach Club. First Choice telesales staff initially claiming that a lack of flights was responsible for no availability. This was quickly found not to be the case as both flights and holidays at other resorts in Kos could be readily booked for most dates via the First Choice website. Interestingly, the website stopped taking bookings the day after unofficial photos of the Kos site were published on the internet showing the resort in an incomplete state.
So what is First Choice now trying to cover up?

LATEST NEWS (updated 1st April 2006)
Information obtained from various message boards seem to indicate that construction of both Kos Aqua Beach Club & Kefalonia Aqua Beach Club are some 4 weeks behind schedule. We are unable to substantiate this info as we do not have any contacts in either of these locations. We understand that bookings are only now being accepted for the 23rd May or later and that some earlier bookings have been cancelled by First Choice. If this is the case then it is a double blow for some holidaymakers who have been transferred to these resorts, after it was announced that Corfu Aqua Beach Club would not open during 2006. Anybody booked for Kos Aqua Beach Club or Kefalonia Aqua Beach Club during May 2006 are strongly advised to contact First Choice Customer Services for clarification.

FIRST CHOICE ADMIT THAT CORFU AQUA BEACH CLUB WILL NOT OPEN AT ALL DURING 2006
28-01-2006: The latest Information we have received suggests that the Corfu Aqua Beach Club will not open at all during 2006. If this is the case First Choice do not appear to be hurrying to tell holidaymakers who are already booked, quite why they are not is open to speculation. Many have been simply told this news when enquiring about building progress on the Corfu site.
If this is the case it is a truly appaling way to treat customers, particularly considering that we as outsiders have been called liars & worse by a tour operator who as of a week ago was still promising an opening date during 2006, whilst making false claims that building work was progressing when no building work whatsoever had taken place.
We can only sympathise with those given mis-information and empty promises over the last few months.
If you are booked at the Corfu Aqua Beach Club we strongly suggest that you contact First Choice customer services asap.

Today is good Friday here in Greece. We celebrate one week later than you guys. It also means by law construction workers are not allowed to work. I was thus able to get up closer and have a better look at the hotel.Take a look the picture with the beach, picture #9. Do you see that concrete wall with the dirt around? That is the swimming pool. The concrete has been poured and the it has been leaked proofed. Something else that struck me is that the artist's redition of the complex is not that accurate, in that this place is huge. There must be close to 20 buildings. I think you will be shocked you see it. 90% of the buildings do have windows.
