Viv, I am sorry if I mislead you, there is no building work going on at the Palace but there is extensive work going on in the immediate vicinity which was just starting when we were there last year.

Hi, we have just had a letter (another!) saying that our flight from Exeter has now had to be diverted to Cardiff leaving us with an hours wait on the runway whilst they load up, we have now changed our flights to Bristol! Also - we have been told that there is a building site in the area but no works are being carried out nor will be during the season. What else, oh yes apparently there are no water sports available at all due to the turtle season, and our rooms have had to be changed because what we thought was going to be a room for 4 turned out to be a room for 3 with our 16 yr old boy and 13 yr old girl having to share ! again this has had to be changed for obvious reasons.

Still remaining positive though but would appreciate any more info.

Well, we've finally gone and done it! booked a week at the tropical on 16/9 so i am looking forward to reading the first reviews.
couple of questions

1 is there a kids playground?

2 is rum included this year?

3 whats the food/ mozzies/beach really like!

Hi everyone - well we leave on Monday 8th at 7am and I still do not have my tickets ! FC thinks they will arrive tomorrow but this is ridiculous. The building site will hopefully not be too bad but we will have to wait and see. I'm trying to find out if there is any internet access at the hotel or in Sarigerme so I can tell you guys information about the Holiday Village. According to the FC website, I cannot see any internet access but it was in the Dec 2005 brochure that I booked with. Maybe if my tickets turn up tomorrow I can ask the staff what they know - wish me luck or we may never get to Turkey !

we are booking to go next may 28th 11 of us 7 adults & 4 under 6.
we looked at this one & the new hotel by the same group in Kos which opens soon but have gone for Pegasos due to better flights.

i know when the hotel first opened there were a lot of problems but i take it that's all cleared up now.

those of you that have been would you say go go go or don't don't don't???????

We've just had the letter telling us about the building site next door. Has anyone had the photos e-mailed to them yet? Are they worth looking at?

The only thing that still worries us is, on the map that they sent there isn't any mention of the Wavelength club. We have been told that the club will be moved from the TP to the PP. This is still our main worry. Our ten year old daughter loves the pools but we booked because the wavelength club sounds great.

Oh well, never mind. We are starting to get excited (go 25th) and we are determined to have a good time. Lets hope that the people out there haven't had time to post on here because they are having such a wonderful time

Have received a letter this morning about the building site too! Am encouarged that Turkish law doesn't allow work during the season. Can't see there being any impact on the holiday at all if there is no work going on.
Due to arrive 22nd May.

Hi, I went last year and there was a huge building site opposite the PP, if this is the one they are on about I really wouldn't worry as we had no disruption at all from it...it actually seemed as if they all just sat there all day watching the world go by

In the brochure - states mini bar in room, is this a free mini bar?? Does anyone know?? We are going on the 20th May for 2 weeks

sorry forgot to also ask, the spa treatments in the hotel, does anyone know how much they cost?

The mini bar is not FREE I would get them to empty it as soon as you get there as the prices are awful. Use the minibar as a Fridge as you dont get one in the rooms. My lot filled up from the self service juice machines and kept them in the mini bar fridge.

You can have a mini bar in the room but wouldnt recommend it as the prices are very expensive. We used the fridge for drinks and chocolate etc that we took out with us.

Cant remember what the costs were for the spa treatments but they werent that expensive and the turkish bath and massages were very good.

In the spa centre there was a steam room which was fantastic i think it was called a finnish bath and better still you did not have to pay to use that or the sauna!

i would also be interested to know if anyone tried out the beauty spa treatments, either in the hotel or if there is anything in the village, i fully intend to hide from the family one day and have a good old 'pamper me' day

Hi all - very glad to say we have our tickets ! Hooray ! Now all I need to do is pack. I got the FC staff to check about internet access within PP today but they could not give me a definate answer. I will try and get info back here asap but it may not be that easy. I'm just so happy to have my tickets in my hands and want to get on that plane - see you there ! i like to think that there is internet access and that the people that are currently at the PP haven't posted purely because they are having a really good holiday and haven't found the spare time. Have a good time anyone flying out next week.

Well I haven't been on here for ages and still the same as last year with all the worries etc. We went last year in September and were so worried by all the reviews, All I can say is please do not worry everyone has different views and we certainly went out there and thought what was the fuss about!! We only had a major problem with the mozzies my hubby had to be bandaged up due to infected and allergic reation to the little things. The stuff you buy in the shop in the hotel is well recommended and I also used Avon skin so soft dry oil spray (worked for me!)

The internet when we were there was in the games room.

Spa treatments good, we got better rate from rep for it. Cant remember exactly what it was though.

My daughter didn't use the wavelength she dropped down in to the group below to be with her brother. Friends son went to it though and loved it so if they do move it to PP from PT it will be fine, not sure where it will go though!! The kids club reps are Fantastic and do a great job.

Just go with an open mind and forget what the reviews on here say it is not worth stressing yourself out about. As I said we all have different opinions and therefor what is true for one may not be for another. ENJOY!!!
