Has anyone recieved the picture of the dormant building site yet? So much for 24 hours!
Will just see what is there when i get there next monday. If it is the area i think they are talking about it wont bother us anyway especially as they say there is no work going on!
did fc recently change your flight arrangements, cause according to them they are not flying from cardiff thats y they changed my flight to bristol and the flight times a lot worse than before?
If they are diverting to cardiff is it to pick up from there do you think?
non
We have got better times (marginally) from Bristol.
Cant understand why you have been diverted when you are so close !
I have recieved the photos of the building site after 48hrs! We have nothing to worry about, its about 3/4 of the way built. PM me and ill forward the email to anyone who wants.
l did Dalyan boat trip yesterday with a great English group staying in Pegasos They all say Everything is nice in the hotel except a few things trips and shops are expensive in the hotel. They all say they are having a fab time and when they return home they will definetely send theirs views and photos on holidaytruths about the hotel
Do not worry as Pegasos is now much better with Iberostar
Have a great holiday
Mustafa
Has the hotel been taken over already or is it still with first choice and is palace the only one open
thanks steph
The hotel has been taken over by Iberostar. The administration side belongs to Iberostar. Pegasos Palace is now open. Tropical will be open at the begining of July
Regards
Mustafa

Getting excited now!! (ignoring the move in 4 days lol)
Still no tickets but I see some are getting those really last minute so ill remain calm for the time being!
Received the whole host of letters yesterday - building works, flight changes etc! The only one im stressing about is that joy oh joy i arrive at Gatwick on the return leg at 3am with 2 tired children! Not even thinking about how im going to get home!
If any of the first lot only went for a week they should have been home yesterday so we may see some reports on here as soon as the get some shut eye in!
Did any of those of you who went last year arrive late at night? Ive never had a late arrival before - was everything all ready for you i.e rooms etc? Just dreading late night with the kids!!

Tickets have just arrived, starting to get excited now
have both the hotels been taken over by iberostar? if its only the palace will people going when both hotels are open be able to use both hotels? this is all a bit confusing i thought they were'nt taking over till next year. if you do any more trips could you ask them if ice-creams are included and towels around the pools, thanks for all your info.
hayley
hi loogieboogie10, when we went last oct we didnt get to the hotel till about 4am, try to get to the reps that are waiting for you at hotel quick and fill in the form they give you, you will need some info off your passport to do this and then you wont be waiting around too long. we had five children with us so i took the kids in to do the forms and hubby collected all the cases. kids were all ok cos they sleep on the plane and went straight to bed when we got to the room. hope this helps,
hayley
I rang Fc about that last week and they told me that it was the Tropical that Iberostar now had but it as far as guests are concerned it is still all one big complex and we can still use everything for those of us that are going when it is all open....they just said that Iberostar had bought into part of it......all very strange especially if it is 2 seperate companies operating one complex how would it work if say one day everyone just use dthe bars and restaurants on one side????
Hopefully Mustafa will shed some more light as he is always usually able to help.
Vicky
If you look in the new First Choice Families brochure it only shows the Palace half of the map now. We wondered what they are going to do if they are run by separate companies - build a brick wall down the middle?
i arrived home from Pegasos palace y'day and i had an amazing holiday!
Me and my boyfriend arrived on the 1st May (openiong day of the season) and we were greeted with wine, beer, food and treated liek royalty i have to say!We arte both 18 so this is froma fairly young persons point of view.
ok so i'l go through all of it and if any one has any q's just ask!
Accomadation:
Hotel:
The hotel areas were huge, with a main bar upstairs and a smaller bar downstairs in a games room. The bufeet lounge is large and much nicer than i expected (food included-see food section). There are 3 main pools, the one with 3 slides, one massive main one with a brudge and two fountains and one with 2 jacuzzi's,theres also an indoor pool and jacuzzi although this never seemed to be turned on.Theres also a spa in the main part of the hotel with a sauna which you can use for free and massge areas which looked really nice but you have to pay.The decoration around the hotel has a turkish but quite contemporay feel too it,there was lots of pictures on the walls.Theres lots of space to do what you please and it was ALWAYS spotlessly clean,i couldnt fault that.
Room:
we had a twin room which meant we had 2 single beds which we pushed together and then sliding doors into another room with a pull out sofa,i can imagien this being a bit cramped for 4 poeple buit it was purfect for us.The shower and bath was a nice size,we also found a funny feature on the toilet which was a built in bedae (spelling? ).We had a trrace which had 2 chairs and a pull ouit drying rack.we had a garden view whichin the distance you could see the pool. Most of the rooms seemed to have a very nice view unless they were facing away from the hotel areas.
Pools and Poolside bars:
As i mentioned earlier theres 3 main pools outside and a few smaller ones which we didnt end up venturing to.The slides are fab, nothing too exhilarating but good for a bit of fun,my favourite was the yellow!
There are two poolside bars one just serves alcohol and the other serves food and alcohol.all the pool areas were really clean and there were loads of sunbeds and umbrellas which meant no-one was fighting over them. We've been told that it gets much much busier in the summer months so this might change.one thing i had a problem with around the pool was there was quite a few insects, like bettles, flying ants and hover flies, none of these bit me but i didnt liek them flying around or near me.If you dont really midn then it doesnt mattter but if you are like me and get a bit frustrated use the sunbeds next to the pool anmd away from the greenery and trees and you're less likely to get bothered.
Food:
After reading reviews on here i wa s alittle worried about food not being cooked but i eat most of the food there and was totally fine.
They do tend to have similar food every day but they alwasy make sure theres 1 of two different dished every night.
Breakfast: Breakfast included scrambeled eggs, fried eggs, beads, boiled eggs, veil sausages (because they are muslem they don't cook or eat pig),loads of differtent bread including white and wholemeal and rolls which you could toast if you wish, cereal, they have loads of fruit, pancakes with 3 different sauces,a number of pasteries, abotu 5 different juices, water, coffee, tea, soup and more !
Lunch:
You could either have lunch in the buffet which included rices dishes,chips,meat/fish,fruit and cakes or have lunch at the snack bar by the pool where you can eat toasted sandwhices, burgers, hotdogs and my personal favourite Freshly baked pizzed!!! you can choose what toppings and the roll the dough and cook iot there infront of you,my boyfriend doesnt like cheese so they even made us a half and half one.
Dinner:
Dinner was quite similar to lunch but with more to choose from!Rice dishes, chicken, beef, fish, pasta salads, normal salads, bread, soup and more puddings and cake than you can imagine!lots of fruit and yoghurt and choclate cakes, fruit cakes and wierd combinations thhat you wouldnt think would taste good together but do so be sure to try something new!!!!
for the kids:we noticed alot of kids just having chips,i even saw a girl have just a plate of cucumber for breakfast.but there is a kids buffet which i think serves more kid friendly food.
Activities:
For the kids ,obviously i don't know too much on thsi subject as we didnt attend any kids clubs for obvous reasons but if you're taking kids on thsi holiday they'll love it!
we saw a group of youger kids walking around the pool with pirate hats and make up on with a kids club rep singing pirate songs and for older kids there were loads of activites like canoeing and rope climbing.ask the reps abotu all the activites cos they'll let you kn ow orcheck out the little spinning events calender in the reception that has everything on it.
Theres a chocolate part for kids one of the evening s which involves eating chocolate which most kids will enjoy no doubt.theres also a cinema playing diffferent films every night.
for the adults and kids:
theres rope climbing and soemthing called the leap of faith where you jump off a large pole but you need trainers!!! i didnt take any so i didnt get to do it so i was gutted, looks greta fun tho!
One of the afternoons there was a scuba diver instructer at one of the pools,if you wanted they'd give you a suit, flippers, googles and air tank and he'd lead youa round the pool.i really enjoyed it but i wouldve like to do it again on my own as the waters not very deep so its very safe and i was sure i could do it on my own but i'd defo reccomend it if you'd like to try it out before going in the sea.
Trips:
we only went on one trip so we can't talk for the rest but marmaris was good fun:
Marmaris:
The bus took 1hr and a half to get there but the guide was very good and gave us loots of facts about Turkey.we stopped off in a gold factory and turkish delight factory which wasn't very interesteing and i think was quite unessecery but when we got in to Marmaris town it was ncie to get off the bus.The surroundings are beautiful, theres a bay and a few nice bars. The bazaar had hundreads of shops selling all pretty much the same thing and it was all fake.I enjoyed myself for the first few shops and got a few bargains. If you are wanbt to buy soemthing dont accept there first price as it won't be worth it.if you have a stuck price you want to pay then tell them thats all they are going to pay, they'll eventually lt you have it.i bought a really nice watch but it broke so i took it back to be fixed which he didn straight away for me but it broke again so be weary about what your buying. As you walked through the bazaar the hassel semed to get worse, most of the shop owners stand outside there shops and try and way they may to get you in there shop,we just said no and walked by but i few tried to shake our hands.i definately found it a little intimidating after a while.
Sarigerme:
On the Sunday we went to the market in Sarigerme whioch is about 10/15 minute walk from the hotel or 2mins by taxi which is only 5lira
the makret had a few good bargains,i got three pairs of fake desiner sandals for a tenner and we picked up some apple tea,ask to try the sex tea(its a mix of all of the different ones).
we didnt find much else in the makret but if your into jewllery, watches bags most of them were much cheaper then in the market than in marmaris!
after a stoll through the market we went to the few of the shops in the town which is where we both got the best bargains,
for girls:loadsa jeands, jackets and t-shirts including dior,DandG,Morgan,Deisel and loads more
i got 3 t-shirts for £10
for boys:also loads of jeands shorts t-shirts (same deal! 3for £10) and some nice cotton trousers
so make sure you check out the shops before buying other places!!
Nighlife: For our age goup the nightlife was very quiet,we generally staayed in the inside bar and it wasnt very lively ,but for gropus of adults or groups of younger people actually you would probally have a great time!for people my age i'd recommend finding out about a taxi to marmaris as the nighlife there is probally much better.
tip: the oputside bars are open at night but it gets very cold (colder than home ) so take a jacket!
Staff:' The most helpful and nicest people you'll ever meet without exception.
ok i think thats all i can manage to write at the moment,i have covered as much as i can think of .if you have any q's about specific things ask and il try and help you out.
hope i've helped so far!
Me and My Boyfriend had an amzing time and if it wasnt that i don't go to the same place twice i'd go back!
