you will motivated every day ( once the novelty value of lounging in the sun for longer than a 2 week holiday has worn off!!) and of course, extra energy means more activity means more calorie burning means super slim Jackie....
SandC, there is actually a condition called SADs which is something to do with depression caused by a lack of sunlight etc in the winter months. I think to some extent we probably all suffer from that. there is nothing more depressing than a cold November morning when it is slinging it down with rain and you go to work when it's dark and come home when it's dark..everyone just wants to shut there doors, turn the heating up and sit there vegging out with comfort foods as a companion..i know i do..
everyone feels better as soon as the weather improves.. and this year it has taken a long time to improve ( up north we are still waiting!)
Jackie - if Alsbaby's not disintegrated then maybe she's ran off with with a toyboy in Majorca
Don't forget - reduce you're size with exercise (chant this every morning on wakening )

I'm missing my gym sessions cos of my gammy knee. Waiting for X ray results and it's making me mighty twitchy. How can I lose weight without umpteen star jumps

You may jest about Alsbaby running off with a toyboy but that is exactly what my mate did one year in Cyprus. Met a fella of 27 (she was 42 at the time) who was in the forces out there. Came home carried on an affair via e-mail etc then a year later dumps hubby of 19years they sell their house, she buys new home with toyboy and her three kids.

anyway, the weather is great this weekend, time for exercise and healthy eating.. and on to next week to my target of losing 3 lbs..

Well , after getting everyone's tea I realised that I hadn't thought about what I should have
So, I cooked some chopped onions and garlic in a pan then added diced carrot and swede, half a can of chickpeas and a sliced sweet potato.Put in a tin of tomatoes, a squeeze of tomato puree, some mixed herbs, balsamic vinegar and Worcestorshire sauce. Then I crumbled in a veggie oxo cube and some Schwartz season all and more water. I put the lid on and simmered fro 30 mins. Finally I made some couscous and scoffed a plateful. And enjoyed it!
I think it would have been negligable syns on a green as I still have 4 portions left which I'm going to freeze for later.

Hey, hey, hey it's weigh day (again), lost a measly 1lb over the last 2weeks. When I think of all the lovely cooked brekkies I refused at the Lakes and all the walking we done I could scream Also since we returned I've been back at the gym. Yeah, I know I nibbled on 4 Milk Tray chox annnnnd went for an Indian but it was my daughter's 18th and I ate Weight loss since Jan = 17lbs

as for being under 9 stone.. i would love to be under 10 stone!!!!
when you are exercising, i think your weight falls off at first, but then some of the flab turns to muscle..
keep trying joolz...
Thanks Val - I do keep trying - I keep trying to lose weight but it keeps on finding me
And as has been said, if you're exercising (loads of walking in the Lakes?) then you've maybe put a bit of muscle on, which weighs more than fat. You might have lost 2 lbs of fat but put 2 lbs of muscle on - yet muscle of the same weight is so much smaller in size you see?

love the beach scene though and oh do i wish i was next to one right now..i have a cold coming on after spending yesterday watching the boy play in a footy tournament in near Lincoln and of course it rained and i had no coat!! maybe i will lose weight with all the physical exertion of sneezing!!!

If you do what your avatar is doing all day long you'll be sure to lose some. Might get funny looks in the supermarket though.
back to the health kick tonight..more swimming.. and i must lose some weight this week .. i can't go another week without losing any..
Truth of the matter is i have been home now for 2 weeks and for some reason i thought i was still on my hols (eating and drinking) I was really good too I went to class to get weighed on wed morning (arrived home about 11pm tues night) And i had gained 8lb (which you would think would have stopped me in my tracks) But OH NO not me NO i have to take it a couple of steps further than that (well couple of weeks further) god knows what damage i have done now.
Got back on plan on (had to think then it seems so long and it was only yesterday) But my friend has asked me to go to hers tomorrow and we always have a drink in the garden if the weather is good,I will just have to think of my other friends wedding in sept and my cruise in nov(i really dont want to be big for either of them.
Oh yeah and its my sons 17th on friday but thats ok i think he wants a BBQ so i will just have a red day and try to keep count on my drinks(seem to go backwards after a few )
I will let you know how i get on tomorrow even if i come back shame faced and alittle tipsy.

We did miss your postings Kerrie.. and glad to hear you had a good time. Don't worry about the weight.. i am sure you can shift it again if you want to.. the rest of us haven't shifted it in the first place.
Things are going quite well for me.........I've put on 3lbs, but I think it's muscle as my arms no longer have the "bingo" effect and I can actually see/feel muscle when I tense!!
I also have my six-pack returning which is great, but my bottom half still looks like a Teletubby! I've gone mad over exercise and am enjoying doing it which is great for me. I only eat rubbish food on Sunday's now - gives me something to look forward to, and this week I have some giant jaffa cakes............4 of them! I dare say they'll be gone within an hour of me getting up
