Having booked our hol to the PP last July, the last year has been somewhat of a rollercoaster ride!! However, we really appreciate the time and effort people have put in to reassure people like ourselves that all is well! Thankyou, Scottishmum et al. Anyway, our trip to the PP is less than an a week away - and to say that we were excited we would be a bit of an understatement !! Have a few silly questions that we hope can be answered: Are the palm trees open? and Are there motorised watersports available on the beach (eg. parasailing, banana boat rides)? Hey, anyone else flying out the 12th of June?
Hi, Im a new poster to this site but I looked on here a lot before I went to Egypt. Im going to PP on the 15th of this month and Im so excited, also nervous because my 2 little darlings have a habit of showing me up in public with their naughtiness! Also a bit concerned about mouthy brits and also the sunbed situation. We have booked a kids den so I hope its not a disapointment. Has anyone had any trouble getting their kids into the kids clubs during the day, like are they over crowded or only let a certain number of kids in? I have girl 7 and boy 3.
Hi everyone. Well thank you all for your help. We have, yet again!, changed our holiday and will not be going to PP in August. We hmmd and ahhad about it but my other half was adamant that he wouldn't enjoy the holiday if it was too hot for the kids so we have now amended our holiday again (we must be getting a bad name at First Choice LOL) and are travelling to Majorca instead. We are going to do Pegasus Palace but not in the height of the season. We will probably try to go either late October or wait until next year and go early in the season. I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who gave us your advice and shared your experiences and all of this helped us make an informed decision. I wish all of you a wonderful holiday and will look forward to reading your postings after your holidays.

We are travelling on 12 June with a young baby and toddler (170 nappies waiting to be packed - I kid you not)
1. I believe the air con is on for 18 hours a day. Can you tell me between what times it is switched off. (if at night I will need to take cooler sleepwear for the boys).
2. Are the queues at Dalaman airport a nightmare on the return journey. Thinking of booking a taxi transfer and getting there earlier if so.
3. Do you remember seeing either footballs or buckets and spades in the hotel shops. (trying to limit what I take to make room for nappies/baby food etc!)
Thanks.
Can someone please confirm if the hotel is an Iberostar or First Choice hotel now! I am a bit confused?
Iberostar has rented Pegasos Hotels. Iberostar is a good company they have a hotel in Marmaris called as Grandazur. No doubt Iberostar Palace&Tropical (Pegasos Tropical&Palace) is much better this year except a few things as trips and shops are expensive in the hotel lf you like you may visit Iberostar Grandazur Hotel's website to find out about Iberostar here http://www.hotelgrandazur.com
The tourists l have met so far this summer they all say they are having nice time in Iberostar Palace
Please feel free to ask
Mustafa
Dalaman airport wasnt the nightmare I was expecting, when we first got there there was long lines of people waiting but not for our flight our problem was arriving back at Birmingham and waiting there while we went through passport control.
There are footballs and buckets and spades, diggers and trucks and all that kind of thing, you might be better off waiting for someone to pass theirs on like we did as we were leaving, my hubby was gutted we had to leave the football it was only a penny floater but he paid about 38 lira for it in the hotel, or alternativley have a walk down to Sarigerme youll get them alot cheaper, but again the shop at the side of the ampitheatre is the cheapest on site avoid the ones in the mall they are extortionate, you might pay 10 lira one day for a paper and 6 the next I think they make it up as you go along.
Hope this helps.

If im right(correct me if not) Iberostar are the company running the hotel(whereas last year it was the Pegasos company) and First choice are the sole agent selling it so they have the contract for all rooms and it cannot be booked through anyone else only FC companies such as Eclipse and Falcon.
Vicky
Thanks for your replies, that has cleared up the matter. Mustafa you get good reveiws about your tours so i will be booking will you this year
To be honest on the Air Con, we had it on 24/7 - it did state only 18 hours a day, but to our knowledge it didn't go off, so don't worry about that. My kids just wore boxer shorts in bed and they were ok. The airport was very quite, we were one only plane that arrived and we were out of the airport with cases within 25 minutes! You left the plane, paid your visa, when through passport control and collected cases no problems, but I don't know what it would be like in peak time. On the way home, the airport was a bit busier but not much queuing, they are very hot on going over limit on your luggage on the way home, only 20 kilos per person, some people were being charged for being over. With regards to buckets and spades etc there was a few shops on the complex that sold them, but the shops were expensive, so best to walk into Sargerme or take your own. Nappies - good luck with them.
Thanks to everyone that's just been to PP for wonderful reviews and all the helpful tips. Will really help us out when we go!!
Maccas2106 - we go on 12th June from Gatwick. Where are you flying from? Are you going for 2 weeks?
Just wondering when our tickets are going to arrive. As we were cancelled from Kos ABC there seems to be some sort of administration problem - bl**dy First Choice!!!
Louise - the spa sounds brilliant, and both me and hubby are quite keen, however, a previous post claimed that the massage was a bit too (for want of a better word) touchy, feely. Did you experience this? Did you have a male or female masseuse? (probably not spelt correctly!!)
Thanks again.

The Spa is great just like I said in previous posts. There are male and female masseuses?!? available but most of them are male. I believe you have to specifically request a female when booking. In terms of touchy feely I was a little apprehensive before hand about the Turkish bath. I have had massages before and kind of knew what to expect. The way i got round it was by booking my partner and I in for the first Turkish Bath we had together so we were in the room at the same time and i guess I just felt a little more secure. These people are highly professional in my opinion and to be honest the fact that its a "bath" you do have to expect a degree of intimacy lol! At the end of the day there was no point that I felt I had to get up and walk out which I would have if i was uncomfortable. Yes they undone my straps as i lay on my front but I understood this was to ensure my whole back was scrubed and rubbed and yes i have heard that some people felt a bit uneasy when they adjusted their bottoms or whatever but I guess i wore the right sort!
I can give you a full run down of what happens if you would like me too - just private message and ill let you know - dont want to spoil the experience too much for people tho.
The last thing i can say on the topic of the "touchy feely" regarding the Turkish Baths is that my aunt is currently dating a young Turkish man and she says the local Hamam's are much much more touchy to the point they are kind of offended that you are clothed lol!
If you do use the spa and plan on having a few different treatments speak to them first because they will do you a deal if you book a few things together - not exactly haggling but they were giving me things cheaper for booking 3-4 things over a week.
If your hubby is still a bit unsure ill come with you instead!

We pre-booked 4 sessions each for our 10 year old daughter and 5 year old son. When we got on the coach at Dalaman airport we were given our welcome packs and ours contained a letter from the soccer school lads. It had the dates and times that they had to attend on it. On one of the days our daughter was unwell and they were fine about swapping the day over for us. My two loved every minute of the soccer school and the coaches David, Danny and Jay are absoloutely fantastic with them!
Glad to hear that Everbody enjoys the trips l offer. Thanks to everyone
We are all just trying to do our best to give our guests the best service.
Cheers all
Mustafa
