I forgot to mention that the KABH has now been removed from FC and Eclipse for booking both this years and next year!
Christ knows why they have continued taking bookings so far on when they had all this already going on this year!

I know a lot of people are missing their holidays here this year now. So the hotels future is in jeopardy with all us unfortunate souls booked already for next year.

Can I just point out again to anyone being offered a new destionation. You absolutely should not allow compensation payments to be 'swallowed up' by the costs of a more expensive destination. They are required to, and have stated that they will, provide a holiday of equal or better standard at no charge to you, and pay additional compensation to you on top of this.

PP is a brilliant place to go, but yes you are up very early sometimes 5.30 to get a decent bed. We didn't want to but ended up following suit.

Chairs in the evening weren't too bad.

I was going to go again after KABC fiasco, but they had nothing left for me.

Hi my wife has booked Peg Palace Turkey today as an alternative, we were due to go on the 16th Aug to KABC, however we now go to Peg Palace on the 7th, we had £150 per person off the holiday as well as 10%, overall were about our group of 10 (6 adults 4 kids) had a total of about £700 off, flying times not so good Bristol 9am ish, also no free child places, so our compo was used to pay for the kids, as a point would we be able to pursue this after the holiday as we still feel a bit peved. any thought and advice would be welcome.

As a matter of principle I am definately putting in a claim for a refund due to there being no free child places left. When we booked KABC back in April 2005 we got 2 free child places saving us £1600! But now we have had to pay £881 for our children to transfer to Cyprus, we are not happy bunnies and feel that our booking should have been treated as if we were booking last April when there would have been free child places.

Hi Gina, I had the same problem I even walked out of the shop and refused point blank to pay anymore but they do have a hold on you as the holidays are running out fast. I paid an extra £150 very unwillingly but there were only 7 seats left on the plane and we needed 6 of them so didn't feel I had much option. If it isn't too much I would pay it as fc head office seem to be sticking to the same level of compensation for everyone but make sure you tell them that even though you are accepting the new holiday you are still going to claim further compensation. I will not let this lie!!

They have offered us the same as most £150 per person so 4 of us £600 and 10% compensation
Got holidays swirling around my head did not book anything as I just don't know where to go and needed to speak to children let them have a look at brochure see what they fancy?
They did offer me Dominican Republic which I would love myself but flight times a little too long for my kids and not much for them to do either.
Also found cheaper holidays then Kos but not letting FC get away with it that easy and fully intend on using the extra £600 they have offered.

H i Kazykaz. We went to the PP and PT last year if you want to be by the main pool or be in a certain spot everyday then you have to put your towels out around 6.00-7.00am. but its worth it as if you have small children their is lots of shaded areas, we stayed by he PP towel hut so you are near the mail poolm and near to the ber to get your drinks, when we went it was very hot high 40s low 50s so you need to be near a bar to get as many cokes or fanta as you can, have a great time as we did , ask FC for a garden room as they are near reception and are very quiet, the rooms near the pool are very noisey day and night. i cannot believe FC didnot pull out of this new build weeks ago, as i have seen the phots taken on the 28th of June and i cannot see it being ready for this year, anyway good luck at the PP.

as for my holidays still unsure they are holding me a family room at P/t till 10 am then ringing me back .I keep reading reviews i've got them coming out of my ears.

Been awol for a while, managed to get my party of 12 re booked. FC would not accept my first two alternative choices as they were both premier properties (I could see no option than a premier property as we had after all booked 4* AI) and FC do not do many 5* AI and as they do state they will "Where possible provide a holiday of a higher standard", well as far as I could see I was making it possible for them to provide me with a holiday of a higher standard - but they refused on the grounds of COST. I too also had to use my £150 pp and 20% of my original holiday cost towards my alternative holiday. The cheeky blighters then came back and said there was still £100 difference ( pp or in total I do not know), anyway I very politely pointed out that a company the size of FC could easily absorb £100 and they agreed to change my holiday with no extra cost to me. I am not at all satisfied with the outcome, or worried about this fact at this moment in time, as my only concern was getting another holiday for 12 of us and that done, all I want to do now, is get my holiday head on and enjoy myself. The rest I will deal with when I return. That said, I asked the person I dealt with to record the two statements on my file and I have today done as we were advised and sent by recorded delivery a letter stating:

"I now formally wish to notify you in writing, that I have accepted an alternative offer of accommodation UNDER DURESS and I reserve my right to pursue a claim on my return from holiday. Also, I have not accepted any compensation in final settlement of the matter and again, I am reserving my right to pursue a claim for further compensation. This is under the 1992 Package Tour and Travel Regulations Act.

In addition to this, I will be contacting Ros Fernihough, Travel Law Solicitor."

WE MUST ALL MAKE SURE WE DO THIS, once we have re-booked, cancelled or re-negotiated anything other than our original bookings.
