Hi there scottishmum
Have you priced up Belcekiz beach at Olu Deniz, Turkey. Went there last year, fantastic place. Certainly caters for kiddies.
Good luck

Have been going all inc for about 10 years now ( as students it was the only to guarantee affording to eat and drink by day 5!!!)
Tenerife:- Villa Tagoro (Torviscas) went twice, also the Ocean Club in Calleo Savajie(sp)
Majorca:- Hotel Hawaii - end of season but still excellent facilities
Menorca:- Hotel cala n' Blanes - the most beautiful beach.
Ibizia - Sol Loros in Santa Eualia - called something else now though.
Spain:- Holiday Village Costa Del Sol - fantastic for the kids
Malta - Ramla Bay Resort - brochured as a family hotel but more geared to adults.
I would happily recommend all of these hotels, we have hand on heart never had a bad experience going All Inc.....

Yes, Lykia World is not AI but full board plus, ie drinks with meals and food round the clock.
Its worth a look though as its very good quality.
A similar place but AI that gets good reports is Club Letoonia near Fethiye in Turkey.

Hi Scottishmum
We booked through Thomson, not sure if Portland direct do it also
Cannot wait to go back, whilst we were there some of the holidaymakers were returning 6 months later and year after year, that says something. Have you read the reviews on this worth a peep.
good luck

Hi Scottishmum
We thoroughly enjoyed The Iberostar hotel Panorama and hotel Mare (they are being run as one hotel effectively) near Rethmynon, Crete. you could also try the Iberostar Creta Marine next door which is nearly as good and sightly cheaper this year.
We got flights with XL.com - they have some really good deals at the moment (use Tesco in the promotion code for a further £20pp off) and then used this site for accommodation ;
http://www.findmeaccom.com/scripts/TDBkgEngine.dll/Startup?utm_id=
At present your flights for 2 A & 1C should come in at around £500, and your accommodation around £800 in total, using these sites (plus tranfers or car hire) for 1 week. I know that might be a bit over your budget but IMO well worth the extra to get a really good standard.
That said, I would recommend the Iberostar chain anywhere for good AI
Hope you get sorted soon

Thank you everyone!
Still haven't decided what we are doing to be honest!!! I was hoping to go around 22nd September but I totally forgot that we are moving offices sometime around then. TUT
Head is up my bum as we are moving house on Friday so once that's over I'll be able to concentrate on booking another holiday. And God knows I'll need it!!!!
I've really appreciated all your suggestions!

What we need is a beach resort, preferably all inclusive, something to do in the evening, good pool and near civilisation. There are only two of us and preferably somewhere that isn't too overcrowded with children as we need a relaxing break more than anything. Would like to be able to go out at night and have a drink which would be nice. A nice beach would come in handy too.
Was going to try Egypt but after reading of peoples problems with tummy upsets and i can't have the medication given out there i am having to rethink this one. Wouldn't have minded the Carribean again but the hurricane season is in full swing.
Just need somewhere that has a bit of luxury for under £550 or thereabouts. Doesn't matter if its last minute and as i said long haul aint a big problem.....
Any suggestions would be welcome as i'm running out of ideas.....
Thanks

for a week?.. try Taurito Princess in Gran Canaria. it is rated as 4* but should be more. it is right on the beach front, every room has a sea view, it is quieter, away from the banging resort of PR.. has a transfer time of approx 40 mins from airport.. just read the reviews....( I also think you should try on the thomsons web site and just key in those details and see what you get.. they do a video too)
Here I go again try the Belcekiz beach hotel at Olu Deniz Turkey. Beach is a little pebbly however, you do have the lagoon which is beautiful for about 50 pence pp to enter.
Hotel all inclusive and the food is great.
Read the reviews on it you will most definatly be amazed.
Good luck
Kazee
PS we went there last year, fantastic place, like you said not too overcrowded either.

Me and the other half are of to Kouzalis Beach, near Portaras with First Choice in Spetember although Thomas Cook offer it too. Its an Adults only AI hotel (they do not accept booking for under 16's) Its out of they way but has really good access to Portara and Ayia Napper and we booked it for peace and quiet. The pool area looks stunning! If its 550 quid per head this will fit into your budget
