Help please, after scouring resorts for weeks have eventually narrowed it down to veligandu or komandoo, advice please? This is a special trip for hubby and I without the kids and we are looking for the best beach, a room with a fab view and good snorkelling for hubby, and lovely lounger for me on the beach to watch the world go by,
Which resort suits best? Thought I had decided on Veligandu, but cant get a deluxe bungalow for dates, can anyone give me a run down on standard bungalows? I was concerned there is not enough space /facilities on the terrace to enjoy the view?
Would love to get booked and back to real life instead of sitting infront of computer all night confusing myself

As it's a special aniversary, is a higher quality room important to you or are you not too bothered. I know a lot of people are happy with the standard beach bungalows at Veligandu, I don't think they are too small given that the amount of time you actually spend in your room is limited usually to showering and sleeping.
Personally, I would go for either a water bungalow on Veligandu or a jaquizzi beach Villa at Komandoo. The standard beach villas at komandoo are also very nice, four poster bed etc - much nicer than the beach bungalows at Veligandu.

Room standard is not too important although would like a nice terrace to sit out on with a good view, any idea if the beach bungalows at Veligandu have sun loungers? from pictures I can only see plastic chairs? Had a message back from Komandoo stating no availibility, Veligandu have beach bungalows and delux water villas available, DWV are double the price and to be honest I am not that fussed about being over water to warrent the difference in price.

I think the bungalows might have both. The white plastic chairs on the patio and the loungers on the beach.
Why don't you zip them a quick email and ask them.
I certainly would stay in a beach bungalow at Veligandu - they look very similar to the ones I always stay in at Lily Beach.

Lily beach have always answered me within a day.
Why not post a question on this forum as there are a few people who have been to Veli. It's a shame the forum on the veli web site was shut down a while ago as you could have had a reply straight away.

Thanks for feedback, I have since received and e-mail from Veligandu advising they are not taking advance bookings for November, I think I may need to wait till nearer the time to try booking direct. Crown tours have sent me a quote so I am getting there!!!
