The beech is clean. You've probably read already but there are 2 - 1 in town and the other about an extra 10 minutes walk (this is the other side of the big red Sheriton hotel - you will spot this easily if you look to the right whilst walking toward town).
I reckon £600 euros is enough for what you've listed. I would take your time booking the trip - compare the prices the reps give you to the ones in town.
I do have some photos but there more of the family rather than the complex.
its only 4 weeks today and i will be there any one eles going on the 2nd of sept? does any one know if there is a water park on the island to go to?
on the plus side the maids are great rooms spotless towells changed 6 days out of 7 sunday there day off public areas cleaned first thing dirty by lunch time as the british cannot seem to use bins
They must be paying alot of people back in compo, I am waiting for some money back along with others we have kept intouch with.
Im going for a week and was looking forward to it until i read this thread
Best thing to do is read the reviews. There's a mixed bag of plus and negatives on there.
Its the mixed reviews that make it so confusing , im mean it is really that bad or is it just maybe high expectations mixed with what i gather is a older hotel , well in anycase if it is really bad we will just hire a car for the week and enjoy the island to the full
generally all fine. weather very very hot........
take care is the only advice to give so far.........
Ive had a good look at the reviews so hopefully i will be prepared for the good and the bad, but as i said i might hire a car and escape the place if its that bad , but i will give it the benefit of the doubt
And if anyone else has had experience of hiring a car and parking in or near the hotel and can recommend the best place /prices would be great also .
hi all.i returned on 23rd july.it was the worst holiday i ever had ,but only because my wife eneded up in hospital after 2 days, which was nothing to do with the complex.i wont review the complex fully as my mind was on other things and i feel as though it wouldn't be a just review.please bare in mind that if you pay for2/3 star accomodation you don't recieve 5 star.you get what you pay for.in brief:rooms were clean but there was the occasional loose socket, some apartments do suffer from tiny ants,i was in A34 and it was swarming, the cleaners do spray ant killer though.pools were ok.snacks are:-cheese toasties, burgers, hotdogs.there are no snacks available after midnight, even though they are supposed to do them at the lounge bar.the lounge bar can be more like wavelength as loads of teenagers manage to get adult bands.kieran the enternainment manager is a star and came with me to the hospital from midnight till 6.30 am and then went to work.just watch him jump.regarding the food, you can usually find something to eat and i heard of nobody with a dicky tummy.i would advise hurtz rent a car for a car as they have good cars quite cheap,i got a newish polo for 151 euro for 5 days.the hotel recommend moreno but i got a car and it was a bit dubious.water costs from 1.20 euro for 5 litres from netto just up the hill.prebookable ai restaraunts are ok but are quite basic menus and you do have to book the day before but you can go as many times as you like. if you drink spirits i would say it is beat to get the spirit of your choice and then add it to 2 or 3 cokes etc as they make it quite strong.soft drinks and lager are self service.ice creams during the day are self service and come in yoghurt type pots(think it is nestle)not sure but it is a good make.sorry for babbling on.any further questions and please pm me.have a great time.jon
any one eles going on the 2nd of sept? does any one know if there is a water park on the island to go to?
yes there is a waterpark it is in Corralejo it is called the Baku waterpark.
We go 23rd of September counting down the days
yes there is a waterpark it is in Corralejo it is called the Baku waterpark. it takes about 50 mins to get there on the coach. if your all inclusive make sure you ask for a packed lunch. the foods very poor but its worth asking just for the bottled water. Now for the shocking bit. when you enter the park, if you want to hire a locker, it will cost you (all these prices are in euros) 2.50 for a key with 5.00 deposit. there is nowhere to sit so sun loungers cost 2.50 each. there are only 2 slides which you can use the inflatable donuts on. these cost you 2.50 for each single donut with a 5.00 deposit on each. a double donut will cost you 4.50 with a 5.00 depost but this can only be used on the black hole, 1 slide only. if your kids are under 1.5 meters in height they will not be allowed on any of the slides no matter if they are a world champion swimmer, you will be asked for them to wear arm bands. my kids all learned to swim from being babies and my 8 year old was shocked and embarrased that she had to wear them. oh yea i didnt take any with me but guess what, you can buy them there for 2.50. the food there is average and for a family of 4 your looking to spend about 30 to 35 euros for lunch. you can't leave the complex so your there from 10am to 5pm, take plenty of sun screen as it is very hot. this place is not worth the money you pay, i think for us 4 we payed 68 euros then all the extras.you get your deposits back but its really not worth it. for a great value day out try the oasis park.
Is it windy in Feurteventura? I know it's supposed to be in Lanzarote so I just wondered if it was the same.
Anyone else going on 19th Aug? I'm on countdown and can't wait, even after reading all reviews.
We go 30th aug 2 adults 3 kids aged 13,4,2 never been all inclusive and really looking forward to the kids helping themselves, handy to know you can get a picnic if you go out for the day, thanks
It is basically a zoo but there are also 4 shows (free once you've paid to get in): -
Birds of Prey
Sea Lions
Parrot
Reptiles (croc's)
You can also go on a camel ride - but this is 8 euro's for an adult (half price I think for kids)
We all enjoyed the day - we drove and should have arrived a little earlier because theres plenty to keep you going all day.
I also agree the water park is a rip off. The kids did enjoy it but it just wasn't worth the money.
What's the entertainment like this year ?, it was very good last year , Keiron, fran and Donna were a good enthusiastic bunch..we're going back on 14th October...any info would be appreciated
you can leave the waterpark whenever you want. you get a stamp on your hand. there is a great market next door - much better than caleta.
the food at waterpark is very reasonable. only chips, burger kind stuff but no more expensive than any other day out.
if i didnt know that there was only one waterpark on the island i would think some people went to a different one to me!
you cannot use cable ties on the A or B side windows or doors. because they are bungalows its dangerous to sleep with any windows open at nite so make sure you get good fan at reception.
the Disco allows children up until 10pm.
the Oasis park is more like a zoo
