Yum Yum I enjoyed that Sanji, and am greatly looking forward to my latest visit to The Regente next Tuesday!! I've also noticed that in the Portland 2007 Summer brochure as well as The Regente being classed TTT by themselves, they also state that the Official grading is now a 3 Star, so perhaps its now been upgraded....it would certainly justify that in my opinion!

regente bug

just back from this hotel i was the person that first brought the forum to the attention of this nasty bug that was in the regente we were there last september and again at xmas there was this nasty bug in this hotel and yes thank god just had a lovely time at the hotel 14 days no sign of any sickness at all but now they have abigger problem its called parents that dont give a monkey about anyone else having a holiday with the children playing holy hell 24/7 this is the last time at this hotel anyone wanting no sleep for a fortnight good luck kids playing football in the corridors not my idea of a holiday

Agree with you there honkytonk, but don't you get that at any hotel?
We stayed here last year and there were parents like that, but we still got it at the Flamingo Oasis. Once they're on them sunbeds they don't give a monkeys for their kids or anyone else for that matter.

My kids loved Victor the entertainer they didnt want to come home.My youngest even offered to bring him home.

Everyone seems to love Victor the resident DJ and entertainer :lol:

including me !
He started work in the Regente the same week that we went in April, and he has worked his socks off all summer long without a break.
He has just been promoted, which meant we spent our last night with him in the Regente (last night ).

He flys out to Malaga in the next few days, where you will be able to meet him again in the Hotel Bali, Benalmadena.

A really lovely guy who will be missed at the Regente.

Oh Sanji, The Regente won't be the same without Victor. Even though we are staying in the Pelicanos in May, we planned on visiting him.

Thanks for the info as some friends of ours always stay at the Bali so I will pass it on to them.

Hi, Can anyone help; have booked Regente on accom. only with Thomson, but have been trying to E-Mail hotel with a request but the E -Mail address I have used keeps getting returned as undeliverable. Is it the correct address or is my mail provider on the blink; or have Thomsons decided you can only do things through them :hmmm

I can confirm it is the correct e-mail addy as I have checked my e-mail address file and it's still in there although it is two yer old.

Lager (a pint) is 2.30 euros
Jack Daniels, on its own 4.50 euros.. 5.50 euros with mixers
Gin and Tonic is 3 euros
Johnny walker and similar....3.50 euros.

Having read the recent topic on the holiday complaints forum I would certainly think twice about visiting this hotel. A poster, bellyballyboo, has collected over 50 reviews from varous sites all complaining of a sickness bug that they picked up whilst staying at this hotel.
