Yup, am going to book it tomorrow all being well,
Roll on October!
Thanks for all your help
Good Luck, let me know what you get.
A good Hotel/apart that Goldtrail do in marmaris is the Keskin. I have stayed there before (although not with Goldtrail) and my sister stayed in june. Its clean, good pool, good location, only a 5 min walk to the beach/bars.
Have you tried looking on teletext holidays? online and on tv, i am pretty sure thats where my sis booked from for the above and she paid £250 for 14 nights.
Good luck getting booked up

Just wondered, does anyone know if there are Quad Bikes available for hire in Marmaris? I don't mean the excursion days where they take you somewhere and let you ride a quad for a few hours, I'm talking more about renting them for the day or the week. Had them in Greece at the beginning of the summer and my friends have said they'd really like to do something like that again... if it's possible
is this the Keskin hotel you mean?

In the advert it says that Dalyan beach is reached by boat in 1/2 an hour Is there a nearer beach?
Looking on teletext hols as well, thanks for suggesting that
Amy
No AmyL thats not the one, sorry i should have said that it used to be called Club Palm Garden before Keskin, Goldtrail must still use the old name as they have 2 properties with the same name.
I am not sure about the quad bikes, but I am sure someone will post a reply to you on that. Get booked girl lol.
Mary.
So far its looking like it'll be the Club Happy Days Apartments or the Senfoni....or the Marmaris Beach Hotel. Oh dear, thought I'd just about decided, but it's still out of 3 of them *sigh*
They're all around the £300 mark for 2 people for a week...yay!
Amy, the Marmaris Beach Hotel is really lovely. Very clean and maids in daily. I recommend that one, thats where I stayed in July.
Was sitting in the new Adam & Eve in Marmaris last Thursday and saw two quad bikes go past. It was certainly tourists on them so assume they were hired. Don't know where from though.

Anybody coming back from marmaris heard anything about the oil slick .
Wilson, hope you had a good holiday? When you say the new Adam and Eve do you mean the one near Gima? My daughter told me the other day that they have opened the old one again so are now running two Adam and Eve's.
Thanks Wilson, its good to know about the Quads...really loved exploring on them on the last hol we went on so are planning on getting them again.
hi can anyone offer any advise as to the best places to eat and drink in marmaris, we are two ladies in our 50's but still like to eat and drink well and enjoy the night life, any info most welcome
Much will depend on where you are staying in Marmaris. We are in the resort at the moment staying at Club Turquoise. We have ate in 'The Garden' 'Beefeater' both down by the beach. ' Le Madris' which had a duo on guitars playing who were excellent. The new Adam and Eves which still does the bar dancing stuff for the tourists. We have also jumped onto the dolmus and gone into Icmeler where we had a fabulous meal in the 'Love Boat'. I have got to say however just walk about and discover your own great restaurants in Marmaris. You won't be disappointed.

Was out on a lazy day boat trip yesterday and saw no oil ... just suntan oil. I spoke with the boats Captain who told me that they did not expect any oil to reach Marmaris or Icmeler due to it's location.
Adam & Eve you could write a book about Seems they had two open at the same time. Then the old one closed and only the new one near Gima was open but now both of them are open again !! I spoke with one of the staff when we ate in the new one who gave me a complicated story that I couldn't follow. Our food came (lovely) so I didn't get a chance to question him.

Hi i read a report that all unlicensed tour operators in marmaris had been closed down along the beach front, has anybody heard the report,we were appraoched last year from somebody wanting to sell us a lazy day,and when we refused he said to us if i see you in another lazy day boat i will go mad.
I can recommend Natalies Steak House and Alexandras which are both on the beach front. Both owned by the same company, but if you like steak, I can recommend the fillet and sirloin, hubby loved the T Bone as well. All for under £7.
I too can recommend Adam and Eve.
Mayfair is also another nice place to eat and draught efes is 1 lira !
