Hi Emma,

They have a seperate kids pool with smaller slides for younger children, which is just located behind the pool bar. There is also a full kids club programme with a creche.

We had no problems getting a sunbed or a parasol, and we was there peak weeks, so i guess in september you will be ok.

We went and had a look at the beach, but the sand was scorching hot so we never felt brave enough to venture on to it...

Fresh fruit juice wasn't on the AI, you could but it from the shop near the pool bar, but i didn't see the price.

Hope this all helps.

beemerbabe, i dont blame you for being excited, wish i was going back.
one yor way back be careful you dont go over your luggage allowance cos they are very strict in turkey and be prepared to queue at the airport, and also i would take food and drink with me because its £25 for a bucket of kfc and a can of pop is over £2, kids happy meals were £4 at mc donalds

hi donna, you should have said something to me, how did you know it was me? we took freya straight to the doctors and he said she has a virus, she is'nt feeling too good but better than she did on the plane. we cant beleive it went so quick either. we really want to go back.

Hi - I've got a few questions that I'd like to ask so hopefully one of you who has just returned will be able to help me out :)

Firstly, does anyone know if they have a kids pool with little slides on the Palace side too ?

Are the fridges in the jacuzzi suites at The Palace empty when you get there or do you have to send for someone to empty them ?

What is the milk like over there ? I'm thinking of freezing a 6 pinter of semi skimmed to take over there with me.

And lastly can anyone that has been to The Palace in a jacuzzi suite reccomend a certain block or room number to ask for please ?

Thanks in advance :)

hi alex uk, there is a bigish pool for toddlers/babies with two slides on the palace side but be careful because the floor around the slides gets very slippy.
i think the milk is long life milk but tasted alright in coffee.

Hi Alex
The milk was fine in coffee and breakfast. My 2 yr old who loves milk morning noon and night wouldn't drink their milk on its own but did in the cereals.
The fridge has bottles of water which are complimentary you have to ask for other drinks to put in there (which you pay for) - but there is no point just take a few back to your room from AI. They don't put anymore water back in there.
To save money at the airport we took the bottles from the fridge and also filled up some water bottles which you can ask for at meal times with orange for the little ones. We also ate in the late night buffet before we left the hotel and had sweets and crisps we brought in town so we were all full up and didn't need to pay them silly prices.
Hi Hargreaves We were late as usual so were really rushed, were you the lady who asked if our coach was the jeep safari? where abouts did you sit around the pool?

What can I say I hope everyone enjoy's their hols as much as we did.

The hotel and facilities are fantastic and service great, its all still very new and kept very clean. The enertainment teams for the kids clubs are really good there is always something for them to do if they like going to all the clubs if not the pools and slides are great fun - not that I could try the slides being 5 months pg.

We had no problems feeding our kids as there always seemed to be something they would eat and the milk was fine for my 1 year old although he would only drink the milk warm but then he is like that at home, there was a microwave in the main resturant in the PP which we found very useful for this purpose.

The soccor school and swimming lessons are well worth the money my four year old now swims like a fish and attained his 25 meter badge.

Only one problem was the mosquitoes, take lots of spray and you will have no problems we did not have one bit between us but other people had been bitten alive. I would recommend Boots Jungle Formular it stinks but at least you won't get bitten.

Have a great hol to everyone going soon.

A quick hi to the Wilson's, it was great to meet you all and I hope you enjoy Nancy and Scott's wedding in a couple of weeks time.

We are off to the palace in June 07 (such a long way away! :( ) Is anyone else going then, also has anyone stayed in the jacuzzi suite as first choice told us we were downgrading from the kids den we had originally booked?
:o

Thanks

We was in a Jacuzi suite and from talking to another couple who has a kids den they don't sound alot different apart from you don't get the playstation and tv in their room.

Jacuzi suite - Bathroom seperate large bedroom with kingsize bed then a living area with large sofe which pulls out to be a large sofa bed TV and Fridge and balcony.

Kids Den (this is what we were told) - Bathroom and two separate bedrooms both with TV one with playstation, fridge and balcony - no seperate living area,

I am glad I did not have a playstaion in my room as I would never have got my boys off of it.

:D That's what was worrying me plus the fact that I have a 2 year old who would be adament on climbing to the top of the bunk to get to her brother!!! Was there anything in the fridge when you arrived? I am so looking forwards to going now but it seems like alifetime away? Did you all have injections to go over?

Nia  :yikes

There was just some water (which you don't get charged for) in the fridge, and you don't need injections just lots of mosquito spray, for the evenings.

Does anyone know how much it costs to have a turkish bath at the palace not heard much mention it to be honest!:hmmm This is my first time to Turkey so don't know much about the country:hmmm :shrug . Is the sunday market outside the hotel or do you have to travel to get there? I gather there's a beach further down the road and you can get to it by Dolmus, is it possible to swim on this beach as I've heard the resort's beach is too dangerous to swim in? :?

Thanks folks 8)
