JUST trying to book a last minute holiday you my 4 year old son and me - both the palace and tropical are coming up with tropical being bit cheaper. are they both the same or is one more child friendly i.e kids pools, clubs etc. if anyone cod let me know asap so i can press send button thanks

I would go for the cheaper option Mary as you can use both hotels anyway so best to save some money. I would say they are as child friendly as each other and you can use the pools in both hotels anyway.
So jealous have a fab time.

Mary we went for Palace as we wanted Jacuzzi suite.
The tropical didnt appear to have doors seperating lounge from Bedroom but palace does, important as son will be sleeping in lounge area

thanks was a bit worried that tropical did not have as much and was more for adults. the travel from airport is £30 has anyone got a cab and is it cheaper? also late checkout room is £38 till 6pm but im thinking we will be in pool most of the time so is it worth it? are their kids clubs on both sites? last thing if i book with eclipse do i get all the benefits of booking with first choice? thanks
Reply
hi mary, eclipse is part of first choice so you should get everything. we stayed in tropical last year and palace this year and there really is'nt much difference so i'd go for the cheaper. there are kids clubs on boths sides and you can use both hotels as much as you like, bit confused as to why you have to pay £30 transfer? you will have a fantastic time, we wish we were still there. when is it you are going?
any questions please pm me and i'll try to help

hi, we returned at 5am from two weeks at the tropical, what a day top travel! we were very lucky our flight to cardiff was on time but airport was full of sleeping bodies as east midlands and gatwick flights were cancelled indefinately.
well what can I say, we have been all inc a few times but this was by the far the best, because of the size of the places you have lots of choices to sit day or night, by different pools or different parts of the complex so you dont feel as if you were stuck in the same place.
will keep it short!

mustafa was fab, what a lovely guy, did the mud bath trip would have done more but we couldnt be bothered to drag ourselves and kids from pool. we went to book on the sunday we arrived and mustafa said mutley crew had been in the day before!
it was very very hot, 46 tuesday but there is a breeze, sometimes very windy so it doesnt feel that hot.
mossies were nightmare, all got bitten, took some tesco insect stuff with us but wasnt as good as local stuff in hotel shop, cost 7 TL and we didnt get bitten so much but still a few.

cant really think of anything else only that it was totally fab, spent a fortune on "designer" tshirts, bags and shoes, sarigerme market is very very funnny traders are all good humoured , I wouldnt really call it hassle, I have been lots of places where they dont take no for a n answer but it wasnt like that it was good humoured banter.
my kids loved the pools and the kids clubs, they have evening clubs 9pm to 11pm, 2 hours peace to sit and have a drink, luxury. clubs run for 8hrs a day, wavelength was quite sports relatewd and and my elder daughter is not very sporty although she still enjoyed the non sports stuff like, chocolate party and murder mystery night, my younger daughter is 8 and loved all the taz activities she did them all.

I cant see how anyone with kids would not enjoy this holiday, so much for them to do,.

any questions feel free, otherwise this would be five pages long!

2 does the Tropical have it's own creche?

3 were you able to get a sunbed in the shade ok

hi emma,
i'll answer your questions just in case mrsjacksparrow has gone to bed after her very late night.
there are water coolers by each bar where you can fill your bottles or just grab a cup and have a drink, at lunch and dinner they put big bottles of water on your table and you can take them with you and ask for more if you want.
yes the tropical has its own creche.
you do have to get up earlyish to get a bed in the shade we went last oct and we have just got back and the sunbed situation is about the same in both months. about 4pm you can get a bed anywhere and its still warm and the pools are lovely and warm.
when we were at tropical last year we faced the pool which was nice, but it did get noisy sometimes.
colin d barber, got to go now but will answer you later

well that is its booked. got 1 week at the tropical £600 for my son and i. was thinking id have to pay that for S catering. went Ai with first chioce recently and loved it. not a fussy eater. ds loves the kids club so for us it being bit like butlins in the sun is great. we know what we are expecting.

so here starts the questions:-

- do i need to take any towels at all.
- read about money - is it best to take sterling?
- really late flight back but we cant afford this holiday at all do didnt go
for late check out this time - whats the changing/shower facilities like?
- what in reality do you pay for - trips etc?
- injections - do we need any?

im so excited - even more now cos i booked so late.
