You obviously have had a bad time at Irini this year, and thats a shame because the owner is a really nice guy (christos) and his wife (Irini... of course) is also a lovely lady. These rooms are kep in immaculate condition though and the pool is fantastic. I don't know which first choice accommodation was FAR superior to this but it must have been good!
Hi. We requested a triple studio with the room number but obviously requests are not guaranteed. I would have agreed with your sentiments re Christos last year but this year a different story (nothing to do with the room). You had to be there to understand. No problem at all with the rest of the family. Yes, it was a shame (for us because it was our holiday). This was our third visit and I still think there is superior accommodation (Dracos, Alfa Hotel, Agelika to name but a few) but because of previous good holidays at the Irini we chose to go back and overlooked the busy (and very noisy) road, long walk into town. Hasn't put us off Parga just very sad at the way things turned out
You say you requested a room type and number but if you didnt book that room type how would you get that room? A triple is different from a TBST2-3 and a rep cannot, under any circumstances change room types, as this could become a legal matter.
Hi Joecy. Made the booking over the phone, should have checked confirmation more closely. Like I said earlier, the busy road we overlooked because we enjoyed our previous 2 holidays at the Irini. When we return to Parga, it will be somewhere closer to town , and hopefully with a happier host. I have put some comments on the Greek Mainland discussion forum and my friend is going to put a review on the hotel reviews. Happy hols to everyone
food ok on the plane. films tv shows etc. nice stewards and stewardesses'
could not fault them. and they are reasonable too.
I dont have a bad word to say about them. (only thing was reps comments as explained in my review of Finnikounda which I have said once and not going to repeat as it gets boring).
I would use them again!
Booked with Kosmar again for next year. They were the cheapest for where we wanted to go (Alykanas, Zante). 5 am flight from East Midlands with BMI.
I went to the travel agents yesterday to pick up next years Kosmar brochure (amongst others) and noticed another Kosmar brochure for Cyprus and Egypt. Seems that they are now branching out!
Hi. Does anyone know how sympathetic Kosmar are when a change needs to be made to a booking? I know there may be costs involved and wondered if anyone had done this. Would like to change the date of travel. Thanks in advance.
Due to changing jobs, I had to change my travel date with Kosmar last summer. We had booked almost a year in advance so I was gutted when last March I had to move it from June to July. By this time they only had one hotel left with availability for those weeks so the total oncost was £650! thankfully work funded this so it wasn't a problem. I just called up and they amended my booking. There is a fee per person depending on the change (we had to go from self catering to B&B and I know this change incurred more cost), I can't remember how much. If they still have availability at the same hotel it shouldn't be a problem, except for this amendment fee. Have you checked the website to see what availability is like?
Hi there cejay8. I will check the website to see what's available. Have you any idea what the amendment fee is please.
Hi. Just checked Kosmar website and the price (for the date we have booked and an alternative date) is £400 cheaper than the price we paid (they are are offering late booking discounts ). Not impressed. What's the point of booking early?
I think the amendment fee was in the region of £30 - £50 per person. I think ours was £50 each as we moved from SC basis to B&B. Our cost was much more due to moving from June to late July. Let us know how you get on. Cejay
If you change your holiday
If you need to change any details of your holiday (e.g. accommodation or date), we will do our best to help. We will charge an administration fee of £20.00 for each person named on the booking and for each detail of the booking you change to a maximum of £50 per person (all amendments are payable at the time of the change). The price of your new holiday arrangements will be based on the prices that apply on the day we receive written confirmation of your change. Any changes within six weeks of departure will be deemed to be a cancellation and cancellation charges, as set out in paragraph 10 will apply.
P.S. I'm off to Parga in 3 weeks time!
Hi cejay8. Thanks for that. Think we are going to stick with the date we have booked. Is it your first time to Parga? You will love it. It is one of the places I could return to again and again.
Yes, first visit to Parga - it's our Honeymoon and we're staying at the Valtos Beach Hotel. Been to lots of the islands over the last few years and couldn't resist choosing Greece again for our honeymoon. 3 weeks to go; Tickets arrived already - can't wait!
Hi cejay8. You will love Parga. I have heard good reports about the Valtos Beach Hotel. Have a lovely wedding day and a great honeymoon .
We leave for Thassos a week tomorrow but haven't got our tickets yet!
Phone them - AND e-mail their Customer Service Dept - you should have had them by now....I've had one occasion where I had to pick up from the airport and one where they e-mailed me the ticketss AND sent them special delivery!
Phoned Kosmar today and the Tickets were sent out today!
