Samsung753, upon re-reading the two quotes of mine that your picked up on my first reaction was to agree with you and I was almost about to post to say just that.

However, I went back to read my second quote in full and I recall that I was actually answering jollypostie's hope that missunhappy would recover a FULL refund. You missed the critical paragraph following the quote you cut/pasted.

However, interestingly, the original poster has not returned since Sat 9th to update us or to comment upon our posted opinions as to how she may be helped in her claim.

I recall reading, in the Travel Tour Regs I think, that a tour operator must provide a contact number of an office or representative or similar to the passengers BEFORE travelling. I appreciate they might not have a rep at the hotel but the T.O. still has a legal obligation to their passengers safety and wellbeing during the entire holiday.

A telephone call from resort to t.o.'s head office would be a good idea but if missunhappy's paperwork failed to provide contact details this might strengthen her case against the t.o. on the basis that had representation been available she would have requested an immed. return home with full refund implicit.

Glenys,
When we were there 2nd week of August there was still all the daytime entertainment, Although Angela left while we were there, but Natalia
(who was very good also) was doing the kids entertainment. Apparently it is the last season Denis will be at the Hawaii, enjoy you holiday sure you will have a great time.

I'm really sorry to hear you had a disappointing holiday.

It may be something to do with the board basis of tourist hotels. In my limited experience half-board, full-board or all-inclusive works well in a top-notch hotel - I don't mean 4 or 5 'T's - I mean genuine 4 or 5 stars. Unfortunately the standard of food in some - although not all - less expensive hotels can be pretty mundane. Why not enjoy the experience of hunting down interesting local restaurants and bars? Very often you will find a 'menu del dia' in spanish restaurants for under 10 euros: three substantial courses with water, wine, olives and bread.

Not sure you will succeed in any action but I wish you the very best of luck - and hope you come back to Mallorca again!
