We're looking into the possibility of going on an escorted tour of South Africa next September, and have a few questions:

- Has anyone done the Archers Direct 'Discover South Africa' tour?
- Any other tour operator recommendations?
- What's the weather like in September/October?
- I've heard that it's really cheap there, especially to eat out - is that true?
- How safe is it in the main tourist areas?
