Slight Earthquake in Larnaca

We had slight earthquake in Larnaca this morning at 4:35am.
very weak, but the bed was shaking..
Nothing to worry its usual for Cyprus - 1, 2 times a year, no danger.
Don't know about other Cyprus towns if somebody felt something?

Hi, we just came back this morning and we were wakened at exactly 4.35 by our hotel building shaking, it was quite scary but didnt last long, i too never thought cyprus was prone to earthquakes, wont put us off going back tho, the locals we spoke to had mostly slept through it !

I returned from Pernera last night and was woken up by the slight earthquake

Local (older) people says its happening every 10 years... the last strong one was 1996.....

every ten years and getting worse and more frequent??..or has it just been doing it on and off like this for as long as people can remember ? :shock:

yes we were at the tsokkos gardens in pernera last week and we all slept through the earthquake!!!!!!!!!!!! knew nothing about it until the next morning when everyone was taking about it in the dining room :lol:
