wow just a warning to anyone thats travelling to dalaman airport we witnessed 2 accidents on the escalators where the few seats are at the end of the duty free shop. whats happened to confuse people is both escalators are going up whereas the one opposite 1 goes up other down. they are also on sensors so only go on when people use them then about a min later stop if not being used , the first lady decided to walk down them presumably thinking it was broken and could walk on it like stairs as the other 1 was going up, so as she got near the bottom step the sensor triggered the escalator to start going up whilst she was walking down and she fell her hubby caught her but boy did he complain she was very shaken and banged her arm, then about 15 mins later and unfortunately i didnt see til it had happened an old chap did the same but this time he was alone and fell over and cut 2 huge chunks of flesh off his arm blood was spurting out everywhere, poor man i ran over to try and help as he was british and got him a seat and told security to get a dr, they eventually got 1 and he was wheeled away in a chair so not sure what happened to him, but it looked very nasty. they need to sort out more warning signs or get them to work in opposite directions
