PS: Just make sure that they don't try and charge you for ticket on departure, your booking details should confirm the date you booked.....don't forget to take them!...but, I'm sure it will run smoothly, it is too late for them to get the tickets processed and run the risk at this late stage,(due to the post and the time scale) that you might not receive them, at least they will be there at the airport for you....allow a little extra time, just in case there is a queue...you won't be the only ones collecting tickets this way...believe me !!!!

Enjoy your holiday and keep a positive mind.!

Will be my first time in 5 years that I won`t be in Benidorm at Christmas. Christmas won`t be the same.
Everyone else who is going have a fab time. Please have a drink for me.

Reason for not going, we want to go in the summer and can`t stretch to both this year.

I'd be in Benidorm as well now....well in about three or four days time if we follow our usual pattern in as far as holiday plans are concerned, but my father suffered his third heart attack a few months back and the doctor says he is not fit enough to fly for at least several months, and I cannot go there on my own without my parents, it simply would not be the same. So I too will miss not being there.

Benidorm Here I come

Sorry you won`t be there as well, it`s pretty sad but more to luck forward too the next time you visit. It will be a full year since I`ve been I feel like somethings missing at the moment.

I hope your father is ok to travel to Beni very soon.

Have a good Xmas

Thank you. I would like to think that my father will be well enough to travel soon, but I am afraid I am doubting it very much. The doctor has put him on even more medicine now, inculding warfarin (?spelling).

But I can only pray things might improve. I will miss not being in Beni at this time of the year because its so much better than being here in the cold wet, dark, damp uk.

I have just returned from Beni this evening.

The staff at the Flamingo Oasis have gone to a huge effort to decorate the hotel for the festive season. The lights on the outside are very impressive and inside the red Xmas plants (Someone please help me with spelling pon?????) and decorations throughout the hotel are just fabulous.

It was rather cold, especially at night, I hope it improves for all you lucky people who are out there for Christmas.

Merry Christmas to all the members on the forum.

Sue :)

I think you mean: Poinsietta. There appears to be several ways to spell it. :hmmm.

Oh right, sorry David. I did try to resize it but I'm not very good at doing that. I don't think it was copyright protected as I made sure my search was for 'Copyright Free images'. But point taken. Pity as I think it was a nice picture really.

Hi Everyone. Well have been to the ice rink, but haven't ventured on it yet, there's too many flying around it :( may try it when its a bit quieter.

Merry Christmas too you all.

Hello Everyone.
Just to let you know we had a great time. The weather wasn't too good the first week, but made up for it the next two weeks, it seemed to get hotter each day, and by last week it was the hottest we have known for the past few years. :D

The first week wasn't very busy, but from around the 21st loads of people arrived. On Christmas Day there were thousands on the prom. We cooked our own Christmas Dinner and ate it on our balcony overlooking the sea, it was so nice, we then played volley ball on the beach..heaven. :D And I kept thinking of what we would have being doing at home, probably asleep in front of t.v after dinner. The Three Kings Parade once again was brilliant, all different costumes and entertainers.

We are all missing Beni already and really didn't want to come home.

I also had the pleasure of meeting Sanji and David, a lovely couple, David started calling me Lizzie foive (five) because of my Black Country accent  Sanji and David also gave my Son 10 euro for an ice cream, which we thought was so kind of them, ( hope they don't mind me telling you!!) Thanks again Sanji and David. Sanji really is a wealth of knowledge, and her Spanish is brilliant, I was gobsmacked when she ordered all the drinks in Spanish and was conversing with the waiters!!. Oh by the way David wasn't carrying the video recorder when we met, so I nearly didn't stop them

Happy New Year to you all, and enjoy good old Beni when ever you may be going, hopefully we will be there again for Christmas.

Sue, we never did get on the ice rink, after hearing about Sanji's mishap, thought we had better give it a miss!!!

Thanks Lizzie. :kiss

Sorry for the delay in replying to your post, I've just been busy with the video's and I have the Three Kings Video to sort yet and.....urmmm....washing.
(That's a private joke coz my washing machine blew up just before we went to Benidorm, so as you can image, the laundry basket was full before we went and then 2 more weeks washing)
a lovely couple,

The feeling is mutual....not forgetting your little man :kiss
We had a laugh didn't we.?
I had the pleasure of going in Lizzies apartment which was situated at the end of Levante beach and when you laid on her bed, you would fall asleep with the fantastic view of Benidorm and the Hotel Bali, which was all lit up for Christmas.
That must have been heaven on earth.!

I'll try and take some photo's off the video when I have a moment because I took footage of the view.
Hope to see you all there next Christmas.

PS: I have posted a Christmas video in the sticky thread (Benidorm Video clips )
Sanji & David.
