:yikes
we knew about your flight on the way out but to have a nightmare on the way back too is just not very lucky is it?

hullsmoggy hurry up and do a report, cant wait to read another story of goa. what flight company you go with

He went with monarch.

ps, ive always found monarch to be on time, only thing i dont like about monarch is the legroom
Reply
monarch can't be blamed for the flight chaos but the legroom was tight for someone like me who is not a small person even tracy thought it was tight and she's only 5 foot 1. they warned the boxers before boarding that they were drunk but still let them on

If Monarch knew those folk were a bit tipsy they shouldnt have let them board in the first place. All the other passengers safety is then at risk also. We guessed it was your flight on the way out that diverted to Budapest, but a 30 hour delay on the way back is so unfortunate.
I agree with you about the legroom on the Monarch flights. Like your wife I am also only 5ft and I was cramped for space!!
Looking forward to reading your report about your holiday :D Welcome back!!!

The only delay we've ever faced coming home from Goa (and we've been going since mid 90's) was with JMC, they said the aircraft could take off but couldnt land, and they had to wait for someone to fly in from the Middle East to fix the plane.
We got put up for a night in the marriot hotel, which was really nice

please tell us what happened on the out going flight.

girlie girl

one of the passengers was getting rowdy on the plane so when other passengers were telling him to calm down he and his mates were getting more stroppy so the problem was spreading to other people on the plane. some of his mates were trying to get him to be quiet but he wasn't having any of it. some others tried to help and one of them got head butted for his trouble and had to have an ice pack on his eyefor the rest of the journey.
the cabin crew and others tried to get him down in order to strap his arms and legs together which they eventually did. one of his party then took the starps off him and it all kicked off again so the pilot did an emergency landing at budapest in order to get him off. eventually the police took 4 people off. luckily we refuelled in budapest so we could give bahrain a miss so we were only about 2 hours late.

there were various storiesgoing about but i think that too much drink was the cause. there were a few children on the flight so it must have been a bit scary for them.

Shouldn't happen to a dog, Hullsmoggy. The journey, especially with Monarch, is an ordeal at the best of times, but with with idiots going out and technical problems coming back......that's really too bad!

i was happy to spend another night in bahrain but most people were complaining. an extra couple of nights in a 5 star hotel after my hotel in goa was just what the doctor ordered
