Just back - Not much activity but did hear banging coming from inside a couple of times. The locals seem to think it will go but I reserve judgement. Will almost miss the old rust bucket!

Still being worked on. Water being pumped out for the last few days (again), bit of banging now and again and the odd welding flash!

Things seem to be speeding up now Lot of activity on deck, several large generators on board, a lot of water being pumped out of the hold just forward of the bridge and a grab dredger has started dredging in the same area, so obviously the new salvage company means business and mabey, just mabey, this is the beginning of the end of the old ladies stay at Candolim Alan

hopefully the old girl gets towed away soon, and someone records it and downloads it to youtube.

The latest news is it will be gone by the 14th of march.personally
i thinkthere is a very good chance of that happening,so much work going on today.still several pumps gushing water out on both sides of the boat.and it seems to be getting higher in the water each day

So IF it does go on the 14th it'll be gone by the time we go back on the 26th. I would like to have been there to see it going. We usually go to Ganesh Shack, just opposite the boat. It'll be very strange this year without the River Princess. Keep us posted with the progress.

Oh, that's a shame. It's our first trip north and would have liked to have seen it but we don't go until the 23rd!

I am sure I speak for many HT's when I say I fro one will be very interested in seeing any photos of the removal of the River Princess, any shack parties that celebrate this, and what the view is without the boat.

Can't wait!!

Isn't it funny how we think she's an eye sore and can't wait for her to be gone, then when she is we get all sentimental about the old girl :bawl Who knows... maybe they're just going to tow her up the Baga end for a change of scenery :rofl Hopefully will be there to see it happen as we go out on the 8th so will try and get some pics.
