On the Tunisia forum you'll find quite a long post there as a 'stickie' that I prepared for women travellers to Tunisia where I have often been on my own. I've never been to Morroco so can't offer specific advice but I doubt that the situation is that different. As a tourist, you will attract attention, whether male or female, from stall holders and loads of other people trying to sell you things but it can be minimised and there are some things - such as covering your hair - which will instantly command respect.

I'm looking for some help on the weather in Agadir. We are going on 30th April for a week and need to know what sun factor anyone recommends. Never been away this early in year before and never been to morocco so im a bit stuck really.
Im quite fair skinned but struggle to get a tan, any ideas? Ive seen factor 30 advertised but this seems a little high
thanx

going to Marrakesh next month. Is it true you can't buy the currency outside morroco, and have to wait until you get there. If so, what's the best thing to take - pounds, euros or travellers cheques?
many thanks
kev
yes this is true nor can you leave the country with them. we were there in jan and took sterling, some places like the medina did actually accept sterling, a few more places accept euro, you can change into dirhams at the airport ,we were lucky our hotel changed for us, there are a few cash machines around and about and a few people we met used them. travellers chqs are much harder to exchange, hope this helps

There is an ATM just outside Customs in the meeting area - often hidden by the waiting masses, just opposite a Bureau de Change. I would personally suggest Euros as they seem to assume a change rate of 10 Dirhams to the Euro which is at least reasonably easy on the maths! Go prepared with plenty of tissues (loo paper when it exists is certain ROUGH) and start collecting 1 dirham coins for the loo!
thanks guys

Myself and my husband are going to Agadir for a week on my birthday 7th May, can't wait!
Only 2 days left to work now, can't wait for my holiday to Agadir!!! Anyone else going on 7th May?
Hi everyone, can anyone recommend a all inclusive resort in Morocco that caters for older children, 13 & 11.
hi, i stayed at the caribbean village with my 10 year old and she loved it, the animation team were very good.
Im going to Agadir on the 12th September for a week staying in the Oasis Hotel halfboard. This wasn't a planned holiday at all I've been a away a couple of time this year already, the price I thought was very cheap so thought I would take the risk and book it before coming on here.
My questions are -
Has anyone stayed at the hotel?, what was it like?, What was the food like?, and overall how was your holiday?
Checked the weather and seems to be lovely.
Many thanks.
Mark
Anyone?
There is a Interview with a family who have been forced to live in a toilet for years because they had to sell everything to find their daughter who was kidnapped - they found her and they have been living in this toilet which the dad was the toilet attendant for 23 years, along with rats and vermin with a baby too. They complained about their standard of living to the local Government , who replied by blocking off the toilet and concreteing over it so now they have no where.
Apparently tourist only see the Luxury side of Morocco and the Rest live in dreadful poverty, If this is how they treat there own I dont think I will visit. You can read this story on bbc news website under most read Monday.Im not rich but it makes me so ashamed that I have nothing to complain about in comparison
