Hi christine, sorry it took so long to post a reply, but we stayed at the Occidental Caribbean Village Agador. It has got very mixed reviews some quite bad but there was 31 of us who went and we never had any problems what so ever and enjoyed our holiday very much. If I wanted to get picky then I could but it's not even worth mentioning as they were put right straight away with no fuss atall. We went with an open mind and then decided for ourselves once we got there and like I said were glad we went as it was one of the places we wanted to travel to and have done now. It is a muslim country and a culture shock but we enjoyed that and the kids want to go back next year but as yet have not booked anywhere as we had alot of travelling to do as we could only fly there from Birmingham and we live in Bristol, which was abit of a pain seeing there was so many of us.
4 more sleeps for me til i am off to occidental village. Can't believe how mixed the reveiws are. we will go with an open mind. 11 of us going so got the company anyhow. Move over the french, we are on our way
let us know how you get on as every time i look more and more bad reports are coming in. ive cancelled our holiday as i dont want to risk any sickness, but ive booked to go to marrakech for 5 nights in jan and really looking forward to that
Kirsty.

try this site as well. I think it is good to be within walking distance of the main square. It is called Jamaa or something like that.

Weather is still very hot there as my daughter speaks to some of the animation crew there on msn and they said last night that it was still hot and sunny. Hope you enjoy it
Another one Gooner that may help.
anybody know what the prices for alcohol, food and gifts outside of the complexes
Hi, we were in Agadir in July this year. The prices for alcohol is obviously alot cheaper outside the hotels depending on what you drink. The food and gifts are very cheap also, again depending on what you intend on buying. Some shops are fixed price shops and others you can enjoy a very friendly barter. We had many good bargains especially on leather shoes, handbags, belts, sunglasses and watches. On our complex we had a nice shop that sold trainers and clothes, so we got to know the people in there and had excellent deals on trainers and designer jeans and tops (copies of course but good ones at that) The kids thought they were great so thats all that mattered
thanks for that Deb2
even the fixed price shops we haggled in and had a bargain.
Had a fab time Deb. 11 of us went altogether and although the food was sometimes undercooked, we changed no problems and we also never had stomach upsets. 3 boxes of Immodium came back home with us unopened.
how much is the beer and spirits? leather goods how cheap are they?
Not really sure how much beer and spirits were. We stayed all inclusive and the only spirits i bought were on the plane (1 litre vodka and 1 litre bacardi for £15). leather goods are what you actually want to pay for them, u tell them YOUR price. I paid 200 dirhams (approx £12.50) for 2 very large pouffies when they were asking 220 dirhams each. Always pay less than half. Set your price, stick to it and then walk away, they will follow you. Things are much cheaper in the souks. Word of advice if taking a trip to the souk, establish a price with the taxi driver before you get in and tell them you need fruit and veg so you end up the right souk (souk al had). we ended up down some dodgy side street where the taxi drivers make commision if you buy anything from their mates shop.
thanks for that, we are all inclusive as well, but just wondered if we were out and about. Thanks again
welcome back, glad you had a great time
Does anyone know of any cheap airlines for morocco or could refer me to any discussion boards.
