hello everyone just come across this thread and thought i would join in, i started my diet 3 weeks ago last mon, and im doing it myself as im not too keen on diet classes, so far ive managed to lose 9 lbs its hard going but i need to lose weight as i seem to be gaining weight each year and im at my biggest at the moment even heavier than i was 9 mths pregnant which is really disgusting. if the weight loss slows down then im considering joining the ladies circuit gym 5 mins away from me, as i know i dont get enough excersise, boredom is the main reason for my eating, i dont eat large amounts but did tend to pick the wrong food inbetween meals and fri night take outs too were very naughty.

Hi Ellie , I started my diet 2 weeks last monday and I've now lost 8lbs, so I am very pleased however I must keep going as I've got a lot of weight to lose, love shirleyv x

tom is 1 mth so ill see how i go, i dont want to think about how much i need to lose as its too much grrr
off to see the x factor live tonight so that should take my mind off eating unless everyone eating popcorn around me lol
I've lost 3lbs over the weekend I weighed myself on Thursday night and I'd gained 2lbs but since then, I've lost 3lb, I've given up chocolate for lent so all those callories that I was using up on my daily bar of choccy are being saved
Got back last Sun from a week in Egypt and having seen the photos ---------The diet has started today!!!!!!!!
Trouble is I just haven't got any willpower But nevertheless going to try to lose a stone before my next hols!!!!!!

I'm beginning to think I've got a problem. Havn't lost anything again. I'm really starting to think of buying larger clothes now just in case. 12 weeks are looming closer. In 8 weeks I have lost and put back on 5pounds. What am I gonna dooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Was quite excited about getting weighed as I've done really well and been to gym 3 times, however, as I had a big loss last week I kind of knew I would have stayed the same. Still disheartened though.
I'm away this weekend so that means naughty breakfasts!! Will compensate by going nice walks on beach, weather permitting.
1 mth today for me and ive lost another 3 lb so thats 12 lb in total im really pleased but worried the weight loss will slow down grrr, fingers crossed next week i reach my 1st stone goal
First weigh in last night. I lost 4lbs. Feeling pretty chuffed with myself actually. I was convinced that I wouldn't lose anything because it felt like I was eating like a pig. Roll on next week now. Hopefully same again !!

Just done a whole week without crisps (gave them up for lent). That's an achievement for me I can tell you!
Had to go to docs yesterday and she weighed me and guess what, I've lost four pounds since Monday!!! Well done meeeeee
well done everyone. I have lost nowt......and i am jealous to chuff and i still don't understand what i am doing wrong.....but i suppose the consolation is at least i haven't gained owt...
it is a battle and sadly the older you get the harder it is, im hoping to reach my first stone on mon and ill be gutted if i have put weight on grrr only 2 lb away from the stone mark, im just generally cutting out any c r a p and trying not to eat between meals unless its piece of fruit or snackajack etc ,but still eating plenty, just of the right type of food. keep going everyone

I have started my 'healthy eating plan' today using the weightwatchers guides which I got went I went to their classes. Hoping to lose 2 stone before 5th August - hoping for 1.5 - 2lb per week.
Like Ellie I am heavier now than when I was pregnant - ok that was 11 years ago but it still 'gets to me'
Can't afford to buy new clothes - so the weight has got to go.
Lets all help one another and see how we get on.

I am the worst dieter ever!! It's official! Lost 2 lb the week before last, but absolutely nothing this week! Got a stone to lose before my hols this year which are really far off but I'd still like to lose it asap, and am going shopping in 2 weeks so want to have some of it shifted by then!!Getting fed up!!
well ive made it to my first stone after a weight loss of 2lb this week, thats taken 5 wks, im pleased but worried its going to slow down as ive got a long way to go yet grrrr
Very well done that is nearly 3lb per week keep up the good work, you must share any tips you have Any particular plan?

just trying to cut out any rubbish really, having plenty of salads and stir fries for dinner using 1 cal spray. between meals im having fruit, snackajack or wafer biscuits with marshmallow only 50 calories and staves off any sweet attacks lol if i need a snack. new pots or jacket pots only. not doing a great deal really, having a meringue with fruit and a spoonful of half fat of creme fraiche for evening pudding lol, breakfast im having dutch bakes with low fat philly cheese, lunchtime sandwich no butter ham or something like that, fruit and sq crisps lol
