Argos have weight watcher digital scales for half price, £19.99. They measure BMI and stuff like that.
I'm going away Sun-Tues so won't be trying my new scales out till next week!!
4.5wks till Majorca and 10lb to shift
Overall I have lost 3 stones, but since last October I have been on a go slow and only lost 11lbs since returning from Marmaris.
From Monday, on a strict diet as I only have 4 weeks left to lose maybe another half a stone. Fingers crossed.
Good luck to everyone else.

Lally thats brilliant - nearly 2 stones in 3 months and I would say personally the hardest time of yaer to find the incentive - cold, dark days
Joolz I recently bought scales from Argos that do BMI etc but they were not a well known brand - I think they are good though
Just been out with friends today and went for a meal had a vege curry with naan bread etc and 2 glasses of wine at the Hungry Horse chain of eateries.
Off to SW club on Tuesday - keep up the good work everyone and don't be tempted next week with those eggs
Irene
I had my night out on Friday and all in all, didn't do too badly. I saved my syns from Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (had only used 9 so I had 36 to use up for the evening). Had a spag bog for my meal (only 7.5 syns ) and used the rest up with alcohol - several large vodkas and diet coke. The only problem was that I just had to have a bacon roll (white one) on Saturday - to soak up the excess alcohol you understand.
Have been really good since so hopefully wont put too many lbs on when I get weighed tomorrow. If I stay the same I will be deliriously happy :), if I lose then its happy days with a capital H
Will be back. Good luck Irene for the first weigh in.
everyone else. Lally your an inspiration. Ive lost nearly a stone in 5 weeks so I'm on target to be catching up to you soon - I hope.
Sarah
Well, I've lost 4pound this week can't believe it, havn't changed my eating habits or anything. Only 7 more to go in as many weeks.............I'm on a roll.
I have just made a 'birthday buffet' for hubby as the kids think if it s your birthday then thats what you sould have. Have eaten quite a lot, but did feel fuller quicker than normal (might have been in my head).
At least I know by starting at SW class tomorrow that I can 'do it' feeling far more confident about doing well than any other diet I have been on before.
Keep in touch.
Irene
I posted a while back about a colleague of mine .She has now lost 7stone plus with slimming world - she is a true inspiration because she sticks at it, falls off the wagon now and then , gets back on and gets on with it . Keep an eye out for her because if she doesn,t win some sort of award I'll eat my (low calorie, low fat) hat!!
Today is exactly one year since this thread was launched....
So, C'mon how much have you lost in a year.?
Have you managed to keep it off. ?
Happy 1st birthday dieters.....here is a treat....you're only allowed a slither of cake each though
sanjiiiiiiiiiiiiii
Got to get myself out of the downer and on to an upper. Keep posting your successes as it might spur me on to stop feeling sorry for myself.
Just had another weekend away, so too scared to go to my slimming class tonight, but back on track now and determined to stay focused till my next holiday in June - there should be a bikini with my name on it somewhere, and that is what spurs me on.
I will manage to keep it off now - that's what I keep telling myself ayway -but still some way to go. Can see the light at the end of the tunnel - don't have nearly so much to lose now as I did when I started last year!
Good luck everyone who is still battling away - it's definitely worth it!
and guess what
I'm still the same today I've lost and gained not only weight but new acquaintainces
Let's keep going!!
I was probably in the same situation as Iam now. I lose about a stone and a half between January anf May for my holidays.............then gradually put it all back on between June and December.
I'm only allowed 28g of cake which is 5.5 syns. Have you ever weighed a slice of cake to see how much 28g is? Honestly, it wasn't worth the bother. A slither isn't the word for it . Oh well. Now you can see how my life is being ruled at the moment. Weigh this, syn that, its never ending :(. It is worth it though.
I am so glad I found this thread. For me, its been a great help to know that if I'm having a tough time, there is always someone who will offer a few kind words. Being a loser at the moment is the best thing though . Since joining, I have lost a few lbs, gained a couple of stone and I am now officially smaller than when I went away last year. Those brown cropped trousers finally fit - yippee
Thanks to all who contribute.
Sarah
I joined SW last night. Reading all the info I received and I am so looking forward to the next few weeks. The consulatant texted me last night after class - what a lovely touch. I know we are all here for one another.
Lets keep in touch.
Irene
The class that I go to is really nice. I think the consultants are taught that its the little touches that make a difference. Because I cant always stay for the meeting after the weigh-in (husband works shift) I had a letter after the second week congratulating me on my weight loss. It does make the difference.
Well, I lost another 2lb last night very, very happy with that especially since I went out and enjoyed myself on Friday! So, thats over a stone now in 6 weeks. I have lost weight every week since joining SW and you know that I feel good about it.
everyone, keep up the good work.
Sarah
She said she threw the crisps down so fast out of pure guilt! It really made me chuckle.
She didn't last long, nothing wrong with her size anyway though.
Oh if only we could loose the weight by all the chatting and not the exercise.
keep it up good people
Oh and Sanj - the cake was lovely yum yum
Hope everyone is having a nice Easter. Yesterday we had family over did a BBQ but had to eat inside as there was quite a breeze here in Sunny Wirral
Went a little 'over the top' had to have some white bread
Back on track today and hoping for a pleasant result on the scales tomorrow night at SW class
Speak soon.
Irene
I'm going to stick to my new digital scales though. I've gained 4lb. Only got 3wks to lose a stone!!
I really must get back on track.
Hope you all are managing to resist Easter Eggs!!
