Hi
I think some of the travel agents put the dates up on screen before they acutally start selling the holidays. Just went on the Thomson website and although the dates for next year are up on screen, it won't come up with destination or anything yet.
So by the looks of things, the rest of them should be selling 2008 very soon!
Just gives me a little longer to persuade OH that we DO want to book a nice for 2008!!!!!!!!
Was in a Thomson shop yesterday. Holidays go on sale Thursday, with supposidly good discounts on offer. I have left my wish list with them and they are going to give me a ring with some prices.
Thanks for that info Pam, I shall be looking at Thomson on Thursday then! Bet that means Portland will be on sale too, booked with them this year.
Airtours holidays go on sale Thursday 26th
Everyone thinks I'm mad, thinking about next summer's holiday when we haven't even had this summer yet, but I'm getting a good deal on this one I've seen - a free child place for my 15 year-old on all-inclusive and a low deposit.
My Travel holidays for 2008 are on the web!!!!
Thomson holidays are on the web!
Sorry for shouting but I'm really pleased as these are the apts we were wanting, with a seaview, hence booking it early
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh we've looked at those a few times but always ended up booking all inclusive elsewhere.
I've tried the Thomson and the Portland and the Direct Holidays websites but they all come up with sorry no holidays for these dates, and I've tried lots of dates.
Hi Marie, 18th May to 1st June 2008,with Airtours, just sniffing the brochure again, don't you just love that smell
I'm looking for June 2008 Zante, but want 10 days. Thomson offer this but not for the hotel I want! But I guess I can just get the flights and book hotel separately. I also wonder whether there will be an promotional codes soon.
marie - Portland website is working for me (I've been on and off it all morning )
Just looked at Thomson for holidays August 2008, brilliant prices but flight times quite late at night for a good few holidays I've looked at.
Thomsons are noted for their horrendous flight times. We are using Airtours this year, flights are fantastic and only and extra 21 pound each to pay, unlike thomson's this year£124
i just checked availability for rising star for next june and october and there is nothing available !!!! have only some rooms been released as early as this ?? it seems a bit odd
I know what you mean though, it's always an exciting time of yearjust sniffing the brochure again, don't you just love that smell
Got my Airtours and Thomson brochures today The Thomson Skytours brochure is now called "Thomson Value" The lady in the Thomson shop was desperate to keep me in the shop or to get me to go back tomorrow after I've had a good browse tonight. Just had a look, the "Superfamily" hotels are now called "FamilyClub" and there are only a small handful of them which offer the teenagers club - and none of these are all-inclusive I'm hoping the teen's club is still available as advertised in the 2007 brochure for the San Miguel when we go this August
There are only four Airtours "SunCentre" properties in their new brochure and none of these are all-inclusive either. It's a similar story with Thomas Cook/JMC's "SunZone" properties.
After recently returning from a great holiday in Fuerteventura with First Choice (all-inclusive, with FC teenagers club and UK entertainment team) I now have a very specific criteria for booking the next one - and First Choice seem to be coming out the best for ticking all my boxes - all-inclusive, teens club, etc.
I've tried in vain to convince the kids that self-catering would be a nice change and it would be fun to eat out in different places each night, but they're dead set on doing all-inclusive again, especially daughter (15 next year) because it gives her the freedom to wander round the hotel with friends all day and not have to come back to me for money for drinks, chips etc.
I'll have another look through the new brochures again over the weekend but I think I've already made up my mind...
from caits06..... just checked availability for rising star for next june and october and there is nothing available !!!! have only some rooms been released as early as this ?? it seems a bit odd
That is why we booked early as we were told it gets booked pretty quick.
Hope you get sorted. Think Thomas Cook do the Golden Star if that helps as you can use both hotels.
cosmos is up and running, but my god the price is bad for the hotel i want.Just priced it up for this august and its the cheapest its been all year at £2400 but if i booked for next august now ,it would cost £3100!!!....think i will leave booking it for a while
Travel agents, although helpful can't improve on the web price, so I just did it on line while it was still available.
Pam
