Hi there I'm loving this thread, as one of my fave part of a holiday is the shopping before hand , I too am very large uptop and would never be able to get anything to fit from primark, as the previous message says though there are some quite nice bikinis in asda at great prices, saw some nice ones in Boots aswell but what puts me off is that you can't try them on, might look at debs website in a minute for some ideas.

My daughter and I are off to Primark in a couple of weeks when they get all their summer stuff in ready for a big splurge before we move to Tenerife :pele

I usually find M&S good, plus the large size catalogue simply be????

Look out in catalogues that you can order top and bottom seperately!!!!!!

Just come back from debs,boots,m/s. They have some lovely gear in all three but just bought 1 outfit from boots.bikini just tried it on fits great feels comfortable too.Going on friday to fetch bikini from debs bikini top £20 bottoms £10. Lovely flipflops+BAG +SUNGLASSESat this rate i'll be working all my life to pay for these luxuries.Roll on the 8/3 so i can show off my new beach wear :sun

I went to primark, that had a huge selection of flip flops but only 2 colours in the ones I was after, so I bought 2 pairs of each, but will keep going back!!!!!!!!!

Got a nice bikini from Tesco yesterday, they sell seperate tops and bottoms, so if you're 'chesty' but with skinny hips (lucky you...) you should still be able to get sorted out. Their sizes seem to go from 8 up to 20+ ish.
My bikini cost £8 for the top and £4 for the bottoms, they had cheaper ones in plain colours. They also had some lovely kaftans and beach skirts very reasonably priced.
Stiil going to Primark hopefully later this week though... :wink:

Hi all, If you have a Matalan near you then they have some lovely bikinis in at the moment and they have the bigger sizes aswell.

I was struggling to get a dd top for going to Fuerteventura last month, but managed to get an excellent fitting one from Dorothy Perkins, its gorgeous, a pink/peach colour with super shorts type bottoms (to hide the double d belly!) :-D

But on the subject of Primark, I got a fabulous pair of sandals last year, espadrille type sold with white satin toe with white organza on top and white organza ballet shoe type ankle ties, absolutely gorgeous and they cost me ONE POUND!!!!

I went into primark on Friday got 2 new bikinis a red spotty one and blue and white stripy one and 2 little beach dresses. There sizes are quite small though had to buy size 14s usually only 12. Well pleased with the value though its fantastic. First time id been in as only opened recently.

For us girls larger up top try Bravissimo, as well as bras bikinis etc they also do strappy/strapless tops which are brilliant. http://www.bravissimo.com

I buy all my bras and swimsuits from Bravissimo and love them - just wish their prices were closer to Primark's :-)

Im depressed this afternoon. went all the way to M+S in cheshunt today for new bikini.need something underwired in DD and must have those shortie bottoms to cover up all my wobbly bits. Found 2 nice tops that fit but bottoms looked horrendous with wobbly bits pushing out everwhere. so came out empty handed after 3 hours in there to find somebody had clobbered my car . im so fed up. think i will try debenhams next.

Loved the one i had last year from M+S but it went all see through :shock:

after having it on under a wetsuit.

does anyone have any more suggestions for me .

Oh Lyn, I'm so sorry to hear about your car.

I hope the damage isn't too bad.

My friend who is also one of us more voluptuous sorts, got a couple of really nice ones from BHS last year with matching sarongs. She said that they also worked out a bit cheaper than M&S. (hence money for matching sarongs).

Sounds like you need something to cheer you up.

I will have a look in BHS thanks Chris for that reminder . I did have a couple of mix n match tops with shortie bottoms from there a few years ago

. Im looking for the proper shortie bottoms that come up to my belly botton . the ones in M + s today were all of a lower cut (boy shorts) that still left my wobbly stomach and sretch marks on display . not a pretty sight i can tell you. :shock:
