thanks SM .I did just have a quick look on line and they do do a generous shortie bottom and top I like but i think the top is padded so i will have a look in store
i feel a bit more positive now
Debenhams are having one of there discount days Wed and Thurs so I will see what they have. I fancy a tankini this year (to hide the bellys) and generous shorts ( to hide the seat padding!!!) Will let you know if they have anything nice and more importantly mega reduced. CBG
I passed an X Catologue shop today and they had a lovely bikini in the window. It had short type bottoms and a halter top.It was a large top and they do them in cup sizes.
Yeah Lynn the top is padded and I have to say its the first padded bra top I've ever bought. But for some reason I get away with this one, in fact it stops the old nips poking anyone's eyes out rofl Never been able to wear one before.
Got a nice tankini and bottoms for £10 in Ethel Austin today, decent quality. Will dtill look in Primark next time uo town. CBG
As well as the usual pyjamas/underwear stock-up I also got a lovely short kaftan with waist ties for £5, and some little beach skirts for myself and teenage daughter for £2 each I have to say, all the summer stuff was fabulous, I wanted to buy more but I have plenty of perfectly good stuff left over from last year
Taking son there tomorrow while he has a day off college to let him choose a load of £3 or £4 t-shirts, they had loads of cheap mens stuff, including packs of 3 plain t-shirts for £5, ideal to wear in the pool to stop burnt backs and shoulders
For anyone who has young children - the kids stuff in there is adorable and so cheap!
i love primark but gorge at asda is good as well and reasonbly priced got a gorgeous bikini for £8 and some lovely bits for my little girl and fiance
im doing the yearly try to loose weight
I was telling my hairdresser i bought some bikinis from primark and she said she would never buy them as they go see through im worried now!
mari - my daughter worries about this - not sure where she heard it. She still buys bikinis from Primark but will only use them for sunbathing. She puts on a different one for the pool. Scared to test the see through theory herself! but maybe it's just a rumour!!!
My daughter and I own nothing but Primark bikinis - even white ones and they are fine. Between us we probably have every bikini that Primark have ever made and for a fiver each can you blame us. Each year when they bring out new ones we buy them but to be honest even the ones we have had for a few years are still perfectly fine.
I can definitely vouch for the opacity of Primark bikinis I have a reasonable collection of them and wouldn't dream of faffing around changing into a proper swimsuit just to go for a quick dip. The Primark ones are fine - if you're really worried, try wearing it in the bath/shower at home before your holiday just to test it out
She has lots of Primark bikinis and they are lovely - really good value. Haven't tried to get one I could fit into yet - maybe nearer holiday time!
only problem is its in black and having pale skin and red hair I dont normally do Black. still at least it fits and the top has coral/pink straps.
still really want a brown one though so may spend some more money and order this http://www.bravissimo.com/bravissimo/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=PS19&cid=Swimwear_Tankinis&language=en-GB

Oh dear, I am getting a complex on this thread as I am on the lookout for ahem padded tankinis
Don't worry ladies, just leave the tops at home!!!
I wouldnt mind but i dont even look that "big chested". but i looked like pamela Anderson in some of those padded ones i tried on.
just the result of 3 chidren I suppose.
If only i was 25 years younger chivas
"never be seen dead in Primark" 14 year old daughter to Primark yesterday and she came home with two huge bags of clothes which she is absolutely delighted with
Bit of an eye-opener for a young girl who's developed rather expensive tastes in River Island and Bank just lately - I told her I'm not buying her any more expensive holiday clothes when she's only going to wear them a couple of times.
Just have to say, I took my Bit of an eye-opener for a young girl who's developed rather expensive tastes in River Island and Bank just lately - I told her I'm not buying her any more expensive holiday clothes when she's only going to wear them a couple of times.
Ladies- if you are worried about the bikinis being see through- try them out in the shower/bath before hand
