Sue .. looking at your second post there, you are saying that the security certificate is out of date. That sounds to me like a warning from your own pc rather than from Ryanair. My pc is telling me that the Ryanair security certificate is valid until October 2009.
David
It was the same security warning as the other day and others seem to have had no problems'
Thanks for such a quick response I do appreciate it. Will leave it for 10 minutes and then try again.
Fares to Belfast are all nearer £100.
Thanks a million I will look at the HT site again before I go ahead with booking.
A million thanks,
Sue
http://www.ryanair.com. But when you go on to the payment and personal details page, just make sure that the URL changes to secure server https://www.ryanair.com.
David
Sue .. when you are checking availability and prices, the URL displayed should be David
Thanks for the advice am just going on their site right now with crossed fingers
Okay Sue, I will hover here for now, let me know how you get on.
Basisly the web site will not go on to the payment details card number it just repeatly referring to the page with the warning.
I have put address name etc but no card details etc. It just goes throuth to the confirm flights and when I click to continur back it goes to the warning.
Just have to give up will speak to RYANAIR tomorrow. Maybe I not meant to go over this time around.
Thanks a million for all your help with this and I really am very grateful.
Sue
That's a pity Sue. If you post in Computer Problems, perhaps someone may be able to advise on whether your security settings are responsible, and if they could (or should) be changed.
David will do in the morning! The reason I wanted to go over Early in October is that I need to be back before the 16th as I have hospital appointment and the I am off for 8 weeks trip[.
Just up and tried the Ryanair site again using both web site sign on and this will only say there is an error.
Suggests making sure that my firewall etc is on. won't even let me through to the Ryanair web page.
The other using the Internet explorer just has the same as last night the big red like a shield. Wont let me make any booking and this am the flights are back to the £10.
Will do as you say and check with Computer Problems.
Thanks again for staying around last night to help me. Maybe I am just meant to be on that flight!
Sue
I have spoken to the guy who does any work on my computer required. He says there is a problem perhaps with Internet Explorer. He was unsuccessful in being able to book Jet2 Flight ( I was able to access their web site without problem but I didn't ever try to go to the page where you add your card details. Same with Flybe)
He said also that he was trying for others people. He advised me to downloading Firefox which I did but still trying to access the Ryanair it is still saying someone may be trying to immitate Ryanair site and getting access to my details etc.
Also a lot of warnings so it would appear there is a problem.
Called him back and he says there seems a problem with internet explorer and all strange things are have been happening over the weekend when he has tried to access Airlines in Particular and low cost Airlines.
Will check back later which is what the Firefox site suggested.
Sue
Hi
Still I will keep trying. It must be their web site that has the problem as I have carried out a lot of things people have advised me to do but without success.
Sue
I'm having the same problem. I get security certificate alerts (from a Mac) using both Safari and Firefox. Definitely something wrong.
I could go on the afternoon flight for the £5 total but if there were any delays it might be a problem
Have booked friday 10th coming back on the 13th October. Friday/Monday suits my Son better and it was cheaper to travel on the Friday morning flight even though it has tax of £31 and the return flight is £5. Was tempted to take only hand baggage but I have some presents for the children. etc
If would have been nice to get the £1 flight oh well another time.
Sue
Hello, does anybody know on what days ryanair fly to gerona(barcelona) from doncaster? it states on gerona website that it is mon wed fri and sun, but will that change when the flights for summer 2009 come on sale? i need a flight for a thursday in june 2009, does anybody know when they go on sale and on what days they will be flying? thanks
How much is it to use a debit card? Got flights for £20 and just noticed the total taken was £36 that is for two people but why does it cost £16 to use a debit card for one transaction, been on the phone for over 15 minutes to Dublin but nobody is answering just saying they are very busy at present so even the phone call is expensive. Can't say I seen it come up on the screen that there was a £16 charge but what else could it be I opted for on line check in and no hold baggage any help much appreciated Maggie
I've just found the answer to my own question, went on to View my own booking and there clearly it states debit card fee £8 per person what a total rip off,but why is'nt this little box titled Pricing included in the itinerary that you print off as your confirmation. Something not right there.Surely if it was two bookings you'd ecpect to pay twice but for one booking for two people there should only be one transaction fee.Anyone agree.
You got two flights for only £36, it doe'snt really matter what it includes it is the total you pay that counts, ok so these guys don't spell it out but there is no such thing as a free lunch, profit is the name of the game . Still amazing value.
Obviously the overall price is what matters with any purchase, but ryanair make a big noise about its cheap fares and is criticised by the media for its add on charges, but they claim that these are avoidable and in this case Maggiemae has chosen online checkin and no hold luggage to avoid these charges, but has been hit with an 80% increase for using a debit card which is an unavoidable charge.
I shudder to think what they charge for credit cards, Maggiemae , i agree that a charge per transaction is fair , but in the world of ryanair any charge is possible.
The same £8 per person which is outrageous! Yes they quote free or £1 flight and then add on the £4 for Airport check each way and no other option if you have hold baggage. £12 to check in with bags but free if you are travelling without bags to check in.
