I have to say that I was dreading flying with Ryanair but found that the 'scrum' did not happen, either outward or inward although flight was almost full and we ended up sitting in the emergency exit seats together even though we were towards the end of the queue when boarding each time. Maybe people just don't like sitting there but the extra leg room is great, timewise the flights were spot on the only blight was that 20 bags had been left behind...... but it was coming back to the UK. I can't say that it was a particularly enjoyable flight but as it was only short was ok.
Just booked flights to Majorca for October and cant believe they charge £4 each way per seat card charge, even if its a debit card!
anyone know whats happening?
wanting to go from liverpool or any other uk base to fuerteventura
I am really hoping someone can help? I have seen stories in the news saying that Ryan Air are turning passengers away from the check in desk if they have bought flights from price comparison/ screenscraper websites.
I booked my holiday which included flights through OTBeach.com and it turns out that they used a screenscraper for the flights, I have emailed them and am still awaiting a reply but I go to Cala D'Or in less than 4weeks (9th Sept) and was wondering if anyone could give any further information?
After extensive internet research the only info I could actually find was few comments on Moneysupermarket.com's website and it wasn't in the least helpful. I know there is a comment / link on the previous page of this thread, but again I just can't find any follow up info and am quite amazed that no one else is asking about this.
Thank you.
Jojo.
If the flights were booked before this issue arose, I don't see how they can refuse you travel. It's just Michael O'Leary drumming up publicity for his airline and to a certain extent, I can see where he's coming from. You should be fine.

In response to our customers obvious concerns regarding bookings made with us via the Ryanair website we can confirm following.
We have fully complied with the booking conditions of Ryanair when making your booking for you. You have a valid contract for carriage with Ryanair and any cancellation of your booking by them would result in a breach of contract.
We have had several passengers travel since the 11/08/2008 deadline set by Ryanair and we have received no reports from customers that they have experienced any problems what so ever whilst travelling on a Ryanair flight booked through our company.
We have never directly screen scraped from Ryanairs website. We took a feed from a travel services provider who provided us with many airlines data including Ryanairs.
Currently we are not booking customers flights through Ryanair and we have no further comment to make on that matter at this time.
Should customers require further information regarding this matter they should contact our administration department, all booked customers can find these contact details via their holiday paperwork or the contact us section of our website.
Happy Holidays

going to seem really thick here as i have just booked my tickets online ,from stanstead to fuerteventura, this is the new flight only starting that day 28th oct , i have booked 2 adults and 2 kids, i did not opt for the advance seats or the insurance (i have my own with barclays)however i did get really confused with the baggage lark (have never booked with them before) so hopefully i have done this correct, when adding names etc as you do i did click 1 bag and airport check in on each name, name im worried as this means hand luggage , i have read this over and over again in the baggage dept and i think i have done this right , as not realising until recently you get your hand luggage free 10 kg how mad is that when you are only allowed 15 case /bag, please somebody put my mind at rest , it did say that it was 24.00 each but it seems that it was 8 pound each , each way unless i have not read it right perhaps someone can put me on right road as im really confused thanks all in advance xxx
teddy ,yes youve done it right 1 bag and airport check in per person
can relax now, just hope the pilot has his sat nav for the new flight xx
The booking cost is £8 per suitcase each way = £16 each + £4 each way for airport check in. Total £24 each person.
ryanair more like ryanripoff got flew home yesterday and was charged 109 euros for being 7kg over wait at checkin they said all 4 cases were over which amounted to 7kg . we weren't over flying out ,so less suncreams and toiletries can't see how over so much
Powered by battery. Battery in switch on weigh in either K or Lb . Strap like you fit on seat belt type. Place the strap round the handle and lift with the durable handle. It bleeps when the weight is settled and you can put it down and then read the weight which will be fixed until you cancel it. Tried it this am on a couple of things. I intend taking this scale with me. There is no hook so it can be carried in hand baggage. Cost £19.99 so not cheap but will last a lifetime.
I am so sorry but I witnessed someone at Leeds travelling to Dublin having to pay £208 excess baggage. They have raised the per K cost again.
Sue
wish i had had those scales well worth the money and yes was a shock still can't get over it thought we would be under the 15kg
Just to say that I flew home from Stansted this evening, and in the corner of the corridor, once you go up the escalators and just before you get to the Ryanair information desk, in 'their' terminal, there were two female employees with a book of priority boarding tickets (the yellow ones) trying to encourage passengers to buy them then and there! Quite a take up by some passengers who'd seen the queues and cattle stampedes - it was change the gate night!
Both flights departed about half an hour late but landed pretty much on time. Check-in staff and cabin crew all friendly. I'd definitely fly with Ryanair again.
Can anyone tell me when ryanair summer 2009 flights will go on sale I am looking for a flight from East Midlands to Tenerife
I'd say December at the earliest and possibly not until January. Flights from smaller regional airports like East Midlands will be among last to be released which will be annoying for you as Tenerife is popular destination.
We're flying from Bournemouth to Malaga with Ryanair on 3rd October. My husband is 6ft 3in. We've paid extra for priority boarding so what do you think our chances are of getting a fire exit seat or a seat with extra legroom? I just hope that it's not a free for all scrum!
It probably may well be. When I have flown Ryanair recently the first few rows have been taken out of use and people have to sit where they can. It may well work for you but they will board parents with children also with priority boarding. Depends how many people on flight.
