Ryanair are no longer allowed to charge for wheelchair assistance as it is considered to be a tax on the disabled so they have added an extra charge on all fares to cover "Insurance/wheelchair levy/aviation insurance." I don't know if it is the same amount for all routes, but my flight next week from Stansted to Denmark includes a charge of £4.23 for this. As Cicekler has said they only carry a limited number of people needing assistance which I think is 4 per flight, so you do need to contact them and let them know. Best of luck Alsa, I hope you manage to get it sorted and even more I hope your leg gets better soon so you can run through the airport and on to the plane with the agility of a 6-year old.
I've just tracked down a selection of numbers you can call to ask for special assistance - I'm sure you will manage to get through on one of them:
UK: 0871 246 0000 - Calls cost 10p per minute
IRELAND: +353 1 249 7791
FRANCE: +39 0269300302
BELGIUM: +49 180-3592899
ITALY: +39 0269300302

IRELAND: +353 1 249 7791 Think I'll try this one!!
FRANCE: +39 0269300302 This number is actually in Italy (!) 0039 code
BELGIUM: +49 180-3592899 This number is actually in Germany (!) 0049 code

I just hope that there might be a spare left around by someone who couldn't be bothered to return it to the terminal forecourt! But would really prefer to be up and running ... thanks Aslemma!!
I don't think it's a shortage of wheelchairs which stops Ryanair from allowing more than 4 passengers who need assistance per flight. According to their website it is due to 'health and safety' considerations, which is always wheeled out when companies want an excuse to inconvenience passengers. .
Some advise please, we are flying on Tuesday with my sons 10 and 12, I have noticed that my itineray says adult rather than child will this be an issue at Luton
Thanks
I'm currently looking at flying to Gerona with Ryan Air for the first time.
I've just been looking at the 'extras' they charge you for and was wondering if I could be a bit cheeky!
There's myself , hubby and 14, 11 & 8 yr old to fly. i plan on taking 2 bags in hold.
Can I pay for the bags under my name but log hubby and kids in as 0 bags and do online check in for them?
That way they get free priority boarding and - this is the naughty bit!!- can they save me a seat for when i get on!
I think its ridiculous that people pay to get on the plane first. I think it should be done the good old fashioned way of when you check in you get a seat!
It will cost us £30 just to get priority boarding and with 3 children there is no way on this earth I shall be split up from them on the flight!! So I have no choice but to pay! Or do my little crafty plan mentioned above
What would happen if most of the flight has priority boarding??....Someone has to be at the back!
What should I do?
Any help out there would be appreciated!
Incidentally make full use of the 10 kg hand baggage (in one bag!!) allowance per person, though your poor little 8 year old might have a bit of a problem ..... but once past security, daddy can take both bags!
Good luck, have a great time, and give YOU KNOW WHO a run for their hard earned dosh (not)!
as long as you have separate bookings, ie book for you and 1 kid on one ticket and have a separate ticket for hubby and other kids it should not be a problem, but hubby may get some grief from other passengers for trying to save you seats especially if he chooses seats near the front or back doors.
And as Jim say's you may get grief from other passengers when trying to save seats although I understand your reasoning, but everyone could'nt do it.
Dave misery guts
I think you will have to do 2 bookings though, as usually, if you want to take any 'extras' ( extra legroom, meals etc - and i don't know if booking seats online counts as this, ) the whole party all have to take this option. Let us know how you get on. Denny
Hi guys, in few months im flying to Lithuania with RyanAir, and im planning to take about 10-20 rolls of undeveloped film. I heard there is a way of asking them not to X-Ray it, but will RyanAir allow this? If so, how should i carry the film? E.g in a plastic bag, etc.
It has nothing to do with Ryanair, it's the airport security services that sort out contents of your hand luggage. What ISO film are you taking? As long as it's less than 800, it won't be effected. Even then, up to 1600+ shouldn't be effected. If you're still worried about fogging or damage and would rather it didn't go through x-rays, explain that you have sensitive photographic film to the security staff and they'll hand search it.
Darren
Thanks Dazbo! Mostly I have ISO 100/125, but i also have a roll of 3200, so il probably leave that at home.
Ryanair to offer airport transfers
Airport transfers are being made available to book on Ryanair's website.
The move will provide the carrier with additional ancillary revenue.
The airline will use ShuttleDirect to provide transfers from more than 50 airports in Europe.
Head of ancillary revenue Santina Doherty said: "Ryanair's partnership with ShuttleDirect will make it even easier for our passengers to avoid those airport queues.
"Not only can passengers dodge check-in queues with our web check-in service, now they can pre-book private car, minibus, coach and shuttle services."

It seems daft to pay for an extra 5kg, but im not known for travelling light! think that will have to change.
Anyone know save me looking back in thread can you take handbag aswell as cabin case or do they need to all be in one item? Id need to take hairdryer and straightners too?
Im wanting to book asap now ive a concert ticket booked as think flight prices will go up.
Thanks
Hi alit ... Ryanair stipulate just one piece of hand luggage weighing up to 10kgs and with diimensions not exceeding 55cm x 40cm x 20cm, so you would need to have space for your handbag within the larger piece of baggage.
Can anyone tell me what their track record is on the delay front please?
Can you buy water/tea/coffee on the flight?
According to my timings the flight takes about an hour and fifteen minutes, is that about right?
Thanks.
Pippy
Ryanair run a very tight schedule, their aircraft are utilised for as many minutes in a day as possible. They have to to survive with the business model they operate under. Because of this, even minor delays can cause knock on effects but they normally run to schedule. Past performace figures suggest 85-90% of flights are on-time. Drinks and snacks are available for purchase inflight (click here) but given your flight, you'll have to be quick! LGW-DUB is down as 1hr 15mins (1.5 hours return), but expect just over an hour depending on weather and ATC on the day.

Just what I wanted to hear! Cheers Darren!
You now have to pay to check in this was just in my January flight. You have to check in if you have baggage and when I travelled it cost £10 for the suitcase and £4 I think to check in.
If you are able to take everything you need in hand baggage then you can save yourself this cost. They are sticky and your handbag has to go into the hand baggage bag.
Sue
I didn't opt for priority boarding at the time of booking and I'm not checking in online. Have I read correctly that I can pay for priority boarding at the airport so long as we get there early? I'm now a bit concerned we may not be allocated seats together.
