The desks open 2hrs before your flight, you will not be allocated seats at all it is a first come first served operation.
We have used Ryanair on several occassions and have never not sat together.
They do allow disabled and children on first.
Dave
Thanks Dave
Its to avoid the boarding scrum Pips. All passengers will crowd around the gate but if you have priority boarding you can go first . Ive never paid for it and never had a problem getting a seat together . Its usually those that get to the gate later that have that problem . dont worry , Ive only ever had one small delay with them of about an hour . the incoming flight arrives , the passengers got off and you get on . Its as quick as that. just like a bus really.
Another question now!
I've been told on another forum that it's possible to book the Air Coach from Dublin city centre to Dublin airport with Ryanair. Has anyone done that and if so, do you book the coach tickets at Gatwick or once you've landed at Dublin?
I have not booked with RyanAir before, there is no space for a promo code,as I never like to pay full price for anything if poss, is there any pattern to when they reduce the fares or do I just check daily and keep my fingers crossed?? I only want 1 seat beginning of July, Ncl to Girona. Thank-you for any replies CBG
Prices fluctute all the time depending on demand. The key is to keep checking until you find the price that suits, then don't look again!
Darren
Just keep checking on a daily basis, and buy it when the price suits you.
Darren and Dave, Thanks for your prompt reply. Cost is about £100 now without any baggage, will wait til after the bank holiday just incase they have a sale on then book whatever the cost. Will have to be restrained not to look again though!! CBG
you can buy priority boarding at the airport. you go to the ryanair desk and they charge you £3 each. you should do this in plenty time so you can still get to the check-in desk 2 hours before the flight.
taking advantage of this permits you to go in the first scrum at the departure gate, providing you are there early enough -ryanair say 30 minutes before, but i would suggest 40 just to be sure- while those without priority have to go into the bigger scrum(sorry queue!).
ryanair do not have a policy of letting children on first, they take their place in whichever scrum their tickets allow ie if they have paid for priority they will be in the first lot to board, if not they wait their turn like everyone else.
the policy on disabled is to allow 4 passengers per flight, and they will be boarded at ryanairs discretion -they may have to wait till everyone else is on board, but they do get allocated seats in the second and third rows.
hope this helps.
Things must have changed then Jim, perhaps with this priority boarding, on occassions older disabled people have boarded and then saved seats for their younger able bodied friends or family. I have never felt the need to pay to board first because some of the flights have not been anything like full, the same with Easy Jet.
The reason I'm considering the priority boarding passes is because there's a music festival in Ireland (hence my trip) and I'm concerned the flight will be full and that I'll be split from my daughter and her friend.
They're both seventeen so it's not a safety issue, it's a fun issue! We want to savour the whole trip together!
Oh dear, I'm really making things complicated now because I'm thinking I may try to find cheap accommodation for the Tuesday night and fly out on an evening flight instead of on the first flight on the Wednesday morning.
Would I be clobbered with all sorts of charges if I changed mu outbound flight?
The three of us are currently booked on FR 113 Gatwick to Dublin, departing Gatwick at 10.00. There's a flight on the Tuesday evening at 17.30, that would be ideal.
Would I have to completely cancel the original Wednesday morning flight then book the Tuesday evening flight?
Sorry for all the questions, hope it all makes sense!
Pippy
All I can say is good luck with that. It will be difficult to get hold of Ryanair (I talk from experience) and you will be expected to pay for a new ticket. They don't do refunds or changes.
Mark
Really? Oh, that's a shame
Pippy ... you can make alterations to dates and times, but it is costly. There is a fee of £18.50 for online booking amendments, or £30 for telephone booking amendments. That fee is per person, per single journey. In addition, you would also have to pay any difference in air fare between the original flight and the new flight. You would have to do some sums to see whether amending the booking or just making a new one is more cost effective. Name changes are even more expensive, at £70 per person.
Ive been online to book flights and 1st time it declined my debit card, 2nd time it worked but says pending - until i get email confirmation off ryanair? Its been 2 hours and nothing yet, Is this normal with ryanair i was expecting instant confirmation so bit worried now!
If ive heard nothing by tomorrow Il have to try and ring them?
I really hope ive got my flights!
Go to : saynoto0870 and click on to alternative no and see what it brings up. Hope you get sorted.
Sue
I will see if there is an email addy or try to ring, but i gather they are a pain to ring?
If this is strange i am worried now
I've cancelled the original outbound and booked a new one
I'm not checking in online, will do that at Gatwick. As well as printing off Itinerary/Receipt and showing that along with our passports, do I also have to show the card with which the booking was made?
Id just love a confirmation email off them really annoying and worrying me that!
They better email me tomorrow!!! trouble is cant get on hotmail at work so wont know til i get home and their phone lines will be shut then
