I have found an idle moment a little sooner than I expected.

Tried loading £70 and the Ryanair Cash passport online reload process said the minimum you can load is £150 and wouldn't let me go any further.

Ah well, whats £150.

robertk - what steps did you take to load your money ?

Regards, Chris

I used fastpay direct from my bank account. If you use the cashpassport page it does limit you to £150.

robertk,

thanks for that. Dont you need branch sortcode / account to transfer from your accounnt to another - what info did you use as the target account ? I thought we only had an an 16 digit account number on the card.

any info would be useful.

Chris

UPDATE: had a quick look this morning and found that Ryanair Mastercard are an option in the payment process and you input your 16 digit card number as the reference account.

Robertk - I guess this is what you did, thanks for your help. just tried it but the banks system is having a problem at tthe moment accepting this payment althought the process worked, will try again later.

UPDATE 2. I have just looked at the Ryanair Passport website and it says it cant/wont accept internet account direct transfers from a number of UK banks and you need to sent payment, via internet banking to a specific account - as detailed below

Bank Details Beneficiary: Access Prepaid Worldwide Ltd
Bank: Barclays
Sort Code: 20-32-53
Account Number: 63807568
Reference: Your 16 digit Ryanair Cash Passport card number (on the front of your Card)
Amount: Please ensure the amount you load on your Ryanair Cash Passport is within the allowed Card limits.

Robertk - Is this the method you used ?

Yes, that's exactly the method I used. I transferred £70 then panicked when I realised it was below the limit so I 'phoned the call centre. The girl said it would go through no problem, she seemed confused about why I thought there might be a problem. Later that day it appeared on my card.

Hello all. I have purchased 2 sub zero cases (cabin size) for our Ryanair flight. Has anyone taken these on board a Ryanair flight and did they fit Ryanair's stringent size ruling. Feeling a bit twitchy that I will get to the airport and they might be a cm too big and incur fees for putting them in the hold :(
Reply
Have you measured them and checked the dimensions against the measurements on the Ryanair site?

We almost bought a cabin case in Spain, but I wanted to get the tape measure from the room that was on our luggage scales to make sure first. When we went back to measure it, it was 1cm too tall. The lady in the shop didn't speak English, but kept saying "Avion. Avion. Si Si!", while I was saying "No, no!".

It would have been perfect too as it was made of thin canvas and very lightweight.

We also bought a hard-bodied cabin case recently which said it met IATA guidelines for cabin baggage. However when I got it home and measured it, it was too big even for BA and Easyjet which are about the most generous there is.

You can't trust the dimensions which are often on a label attached to the case as they never seem to include the wheels and handle.

My wife and i along with our 2 grand-daughters fly with ryanair on tuesday, and have paid for 15 kilo each (4 of us).are we able to take just 3 cases as long as we do not exceed 60 kilo in total
Reply
You can't combine your luggage, so you are entitled to one case of 15kg each. No case can weigh over 15kg and if you only take 3 cases your total allowance will be 45kg.

thank you sunaddict.i wish broadway travel had explained this to me at the time of booking.i would of booked just 3 cases at 20kg.not to worry

Canary Island winter 2012/13 schedule changes, see link below. Due to reduction in benefits previously agreed between the Canarian authorities and Ryanaiir.

Things are changing all of the time. Our Tenerife to Valencia November flight was scheduled to take off at 0605 (early start !) now takes off at a more pleasant 1615.

By the time November comes it may not be happening at all !

Before being able to read Ryanair's press releases, they should come with a health warning.
I know most people are not interested in the internal politics of Spain, and they are only interested in whether the plane will fly and at what time, but talk about being economical with the truth. IMO these shysters at Ryanair are first class.

Take the headline on the link in the previous post.
It wasn’t directly down to the Canarian Government renegading on an agreement that was to come into effect between 2013- 2015, replacing the present one, it wasn't their decision, it was taken out of their hands by the Central Government.

Does O'Leary not realise that Spain is in the poo and he thinks his outfit is going to be the saviour? There are people who have had to take some serious 'hits' in both employment contracts/working conditions and unemployment benefits. Ordinary people who have had nothing to do with the construction industry or investment and casino banks, which is the main reason why Spain is in the poo.

30,000 people were protesting on the streets of Madrid this week because they just can't take anymore, and most of them couldn't give a flying fandango about keeping a foreign company like Robbinair afloat, but they object strongly to their taxes being spent on the promise or hope that the said foreign company will bring tourists to the area, using what has been described as blackmailing techniques.

The Canarian Government get their money from the Central Government in Madrid and since these agreements were negotiated, there's been a General Election and a change in Government, and it is the new Government of Spain which has said to the Regional Governments "No, we're not giving you money to give 10 million to an Irish company based on the promise that they will/might bring x amount of passengers to the Islands, and if they want to compete, then they compete with all the other airlines on the same playing field with the same ball."

When you’re up the creek without a paddle and the country is on its knees, now is not the time to speculate on what may happen between 2013- 2015....best to leave that to the casino banks ....and just look what a fine mess they have made of things.
Bejasus, I detest Ryanair...the second rate bus company in the sky.

marge, did you not click on my link above? I just checked it again and it takes you to the menu, at least :)

I have had 3 lots of the extra spanish airport fees taken from my Cash Passport account today, waiting for remaining to be processed, they may forget, as if !

Chris

ps as each debit doesnt x reference the bookings you have to take an educated guess as to which one refers to which booking.

My educated guess indicates the exchange rate they used was a very poor 1.17 rather than the current 1.28ish

Ryannair give link to magazine to look for onbard sales but somehow I can only read holiday articles. Thanks for your help though.

Thanks for the reminder to either have breakfast at Stansted or take a snack to eat on board when I fly to Denmark in September as I'm certainly not paying Ryanair's prices.
