when does ryanair for july go on sale?
Im looking for lanzarote flights but nothing is coming up on there site.

It maybe that Lanzarote isnt part of their 2010 summer schedule. They could be using those planes to satify the Spanish flights during the busy summer months (that they stop every winter) and return them again to the Lanzarote 2010/2011 winter schedule. Of course that is only a maybe !

TFS1 - yes you are right, hopefully they will be the same price or less a week on Friday :)

John123 - Ive heard that prices tend to go up approx 2 weeks before departure, so im keeping my fingers crossed that they will stay the same.
Also, are ryanair strict when it comes to buying things airside, and not putting them in your hand luggage?
I was thinking of buying suncream and shampoo, and other stuff to save on weight.. I take it i cannot do this now?

yummymummy,

Refer to your post over on the HAND LUGGAGE: regulations on size & contents .. Q&As thread. They apply hand luggage rules strictly. You can take whatever you want as long as your bag meets both security and Ryanairs terms.

Thanks, but i meant i wanted to put things like suncream bought from boots in my handbag which will contain things like passports, money etc, but im worried there wont be enough room.
But after thinking about it, ryanair do allow 10kg handluggage, where as thomascook offer 5kg, so im sure it wont be a problem just putting 1 bottle in each hand luggage bag. :)

Weight probably will not be the problem - it will be the size of your hand luggage. I have seem some unfortunate sights where people have clearly thought they knew best and sadly they were the losers. Know the rules and follow them - trust me, been there, done it !

Nicola .. you mentioned in the Hand Luggage topic that you are taking a laptop. As you are only allowed one piece of hand luggage per person, your laptop, handbag and any other items will need to be contained within that one single bag per person.

Yes you are right David, but we will have 40kg of hand luggage available to use, as there are 4 people travelling. the laptop counts as one peice, so this leaves 30kg shared between 3 correct sized bags :) We will be fine i hope.

Just to clarify.......Only one piece of hand luggage each - any handbags, carrier bags with duty free etc count as a bag. This is also strictly enforced at secutity in Liverpool airport.

Don't forget to be ready to take your laptop out of it bag to be scanned seperately.

We have had 2 flights within the last few weeks with ryanair both from Stansted . I couldnt believe the size of cases going through with no checks and onto the plane . most definately not within their size restrictions.

For all flights I also kept my small handbag , although I would of been able to put it in my wheelie case if necessary . I wasnt challenged on any of the the 4 occassions and neither were any ladies from what I saw although bag sizes were being checked at Venice on our return .l

I believe some airports are stricter than other . We flew Stansted - Pau and stansted -venice .

Clearly there is a consistency issue. We flew from Stansted a couple of weeks ago and there was one heck of an argument going on as one of the Ryanair boarding staff was refusing to allow a passenger to take on board one clearly over large piece of hand luggage.

Didn't have time to see the outcome as we were hurrying to gate 53 and the 'cattle market' environment you have at that end of the Stansted airport.

I know it's a joke down that end isnt it chris with queues forming from all directions .

Much prefer East Midlands Airport but Ryanair stop flights to Valencia during the winter so have to endure the Stansted experience - roll on 14 Jan for our next actioned packed free-for-all !

He He He (or should that be Ho Ho Ho given the season) :)

My father in Law is in Calella enjoying his 2p flights break and I have just booked him a fortnight in Benidorm for the end of January.

But he is not happy :( He's asking me if I cannot get the flights cheaper than £4.00 return :que

The debate on the prepaid Mastercard seemed to stop very quickly. Has anyone signed up for one and are we able to discuss this or not ?

From a Mods point of view are there things we can say and some that we can not - could we have some guidance please as this is a current topic that is of interest to many.

I probably like many others are keen to get peoples views and shared experiences of whats on offer and decide myself what suits my requirements.

Regards and thanks, Chris

Here Here Chris

A useful debate I would think given the demise of my trusty Electron card :?:

Hi Chris ... no reason at all why you may not discuss it. But as the use of prepaid Mastercard (along with other options or alternatives) is not specific just to Ryanair, it is probably a discussion which would be best taken to General Holiday Enquiries, Hints & Tips, where it is perhaps more likely to attract further input and recommendations from non-Ryanair customers. In fact I can see that there is already a discussion running in that forum about Prepaid Mastercard. Trying to discuss it here in this thread might only result in posts being missed or lost amongst discussion specifically about the airline.

I have read in the daily mirror that ryanair charge you to use the toilet on the plane. is this true?? the newspaper didnt actually write this, it was a comment in response to the extra charges ryanair have.

thanks
:)

No, it was one of Mr O'Leary's suggestions/proposals highlighted by the media in his never ending campaign for some free publicity, but it wasn't actually introduced (yet !).
