Hi I am a Comedy Hypnotist who has been working at the San Miguel Hotel all summer. Last Saturday they were still outside. I assume they may have moved inside now. However the weather has been very good at the moment for this time of year.
kind regards
Dave
Hi kellycrooner My family & i got back from san miguel early this morning The entertainment was still outside when we left, it did get abit damp & chilly but it was ok if you wrap up... I will be writing a report later on the hotel reviews about are 2 weeks there...BFN
Well I never thought I would return to anywhere three times and even less to Ibiza But we are off to the San Miguel Hotel around 5th May 2007 for the third year in a row, normally we go Sept but as our son starts school in 2007 we got early instead of late.
So does anyone know who is gonna be there or not, Zorro? Ollie? The girls from the Thomson team? I spoke to Dan Sept 2006 and he said he would not be back, a nice lad who's humour was often totally missed by the punters as it flew over their heads.
Either way we are looking forward to returning,
You know one funny thing about this place is that I read other punters reviews moaning about stupid things, or jellyfish that I have never seen and I am on the beach every day, I wonder if they were at a different hotel to us.
John
As for who will be there next year, i am not sure about the thomson team. But as for Zoro and Ollie i know they are deffinetley there next year, and i am hopeing so will Tash And Kris, just wont be the same without them I am so excited even thought its a long time away.
Hello John just to let you know i was one of those unfortunate people that got stung by jellyfish so was my brother But i must say in all the years that i have been to San miguel this was the first time that i had been stung, ( apart from booking day trips out with tompson ) I never ever wish to be stung again. it is really Painful & i have still got the scars to prove it... The only thing that spoilt our holiday this time was the noisy drunks,. My family & i will be going back next Sept, if i can still walk by then. We love the place... Take care everyone & All the best for Chrismas & New year
185 days until we fly out next year - if you say it quickly it don't seem too bad!!
To all 'San Miguelers' old new and future, have a great Christmas and a happy new year. Adios
PS - How many of you will be doing 'Follow the leader' over the Christmas hols?- I bet most of you!! I might even give the wife 'slippery nipples' but that's another story.
I'll be a San Miguel newbie in August 07, I've seen all the reviews and I'm glad to hear Zorro and Co will be back I'm not even counting how many days yet, it's far too long away! Hope you all have a great xmas and new year, see you all in Aug 07.
Nice to read all your posts, Myonelove, I like you am rather excited about returning again, we should be there Sat May 5th, glad to read that Zorro and at least ollie will be ther for 2007 without doubt the best entertainment team at any hotel I have yet stayed in.

So the Jellyfish thing is true, I guess I have just been lucky to never see them, I take my son to the beach every morning after breakfast for an hour plus we go to the cove bar my favourite place and swim there but again no jellyfish. Drunks, we have really only seen one or two in the whole time there, one by chance was with me, she kept saying "thats four drinks you've had, then five then six, then she passed out cos she was'nt counting her own drinks Boy did I have a big grin in the morning and a big fry up just to annoy even further
Micknmill
Thanks for letting us know what the team members are doing for 2007, we too had a few drinks with Zoro & Ollie and they were good people, I heard just a few people moan about them and I really thought it was the moaning tourist who was the problem not Zorro or Ollie etc.
One lady wanted Zorro sacked after he asked her kid to stay off the stage and stairs for safety, he had to ask the kid a dozen times and it just ignored him so he asked her to remove the kid, he was decent about it but she just flipped over zero then she wanted Zorro to fight her partner who she kept shouting was a black belt, she only drew attention to the fact that she was not playing with a full deck
'Follow the leader' Jeez that CD is in my car for our five year old and I filmed the songs for him to dance to at home so that he knows then upon return, worst thing I ever did.
Well am off to the 24 hour ASDA to stock up on a few cases of San Miguel, I will toast you all and the place over the holidays.
May you all have a good Christmas and a good 2007 in the San Miguel
John
thanks
The only problem you may encounter is that the supermarkets are not officially allowed to sell fags, but the larger of the two shops sells them 'under the counter' in cartons of 200 only.
thanks tras37
The Disco is underneath the pub and is open till about 3 or 4 in the morning.
Need to know anything else just ask and we'll be happy to help.

its not me thats fussy i,ll drink the ai its the hubby,he,ll drink it but it will give him an excuse for a moan.hes also fussy about food so i hope he likes the burgers from the snack bar, when he gets fed up with hotel food.when we went to majorca he got fed up with food after about 8 days, when we went to tunisia i think he ate 3 meals the whole holiday(14 days) when we got home he had lost 1 stone in weight.
is it true you have to book if you want to eat in certain resturants at the complex, hubby will proberly like the chinese if they do ribs or chicken/beef curry have to book for him each day.
As to your first point, the food is above average AI fare. The burgers at the snack bar are ok but the hot dogs are the dogs**. If you want to eat in the chinese, you have to book the day before at the reception, - they do 2 sittings every evening. If you are staying in the hotel and you want to eat in the beach club restaurant you also have to book the day before and vice versa if you are staying in the beach club.
The chinese ain't bad but it's not as good as at home. However there is a chinese over the raod next to the supermarket which is really good, as is the seafood restaurant on the beach. In there you can pick out your fish from the tank and they will cook it for you.
Anything else you need to know either pm me or post it.
i have been reading up on earlier posts and noticed there are some rooms with a seperate bedroom,i wonder how likely i'd be to get one of those, should i contact the hotel regarding this shortly before we go.has anyone stayed in one of these rooms, and are there many of them.
can't wait for august, the kids are really looking forward to this holiday and so is hubby and myself.
thanks for all of the good advice mick
The twin 4 are much better privacy wise, but the standard rooms are ok. Anything else you need to know don't hesitate to ask. The first year we went we were apprehensive as we had read a lot of conflicting reports and we weren't aware of this site to ask specific questions. So as I say don't feel you are being a pain by asking, - although I'm sure you won't have any probs.
One more piece of advice, - hire a fridge - costs about 42 Euros for two weeks. That way you can buy some wine and beer for a late night tipple on the balconey.
i booked a double room that sleeps 4,but that was the only room selection when i booked.only booked in jan so maybe all the twins had gone by now.i might be cheeky and request one of the rooms anyway, what do you think my chances will be. not going until the 29th aug for 10 nights so quite late (i think)for families, with kids at school. so maybe i'll get lucky.my kids will go back to school on the monday after we get back and will miss 2 days of school.
The food in the restaurant is, in my opinion good. Loads of salad, 3 choices of main course plus veggie option. There's a large selection of deserts. Breakfast is English or Continental plus cold meats etc. All served buffet style so you have as much as you want. At lunch time you can either have the burgers/hot dogs/chicken fingers & chips from the Western Saloon or go up to the main restaurant.
Have you got the hotel phone number? If not I've got it somewhere.
Doesn't matter that much what the room is like but it is nicer to have a bit more space - I am sure you will enjoy the holiday anyway.
